Johann Heidenreich von Ketteler zu Harkotten (* 1669 ; † November 30, 1722 ) was a knight of the Teutonic Order and commander of several comedians .

Life

Origin and family

John Heidenreich von Ketteler to Harkotten grew up as a son of Goswin Kaspar Heidenreich von Ketteler to Harkotten ex Bollen and Anna Schade to Salvey with his brothers Goswin Kaspar , Christoph Joest and Alexander Johann Hermann († 1695, Propst in Cappenberg ) in the noble family von Ketteler on. His grandfather Goswin von Ketteler zu Middelburg married the heiress Christine von Korff called Schmising in 1615 . As a result, the von Korff line called Schmising passed into the von Ketteler family, who also came into the possession of Harkotten Castle .

Act

In 1695 Johann Heidenreich was accepted as a knight in the Teutonic Order . In 1712 Heidenreich became Commander in Chief in Münster and Osnabrück. In 1716 he was Komtur in Brackel . He stayed here for two years and moved to the Kommende Malenburg in 1718 .
