Yangbajain is a large community in Damxung County in Lhasa City in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .
Yangbajain is located at the foot of the Nyainqêntanglha mountain range , 87 kilometers northwest of the urban area of Lhasa at an altitude of 4,300 meters and had 4,348 inhabitants in 2000.
There is a geothermal power plant and the Yangpachen monastery in the village .
