The Yanovskiy Rocks ( Russian Скалй Яновского Skali Janowskowo , Norwegian Janovskijnuddane ) are two rocky outcrops in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . At the southeast end of the Alexander von Humboldt Mountains in the Wohlthatmassiv, they rise 8 km south of Mount Khmyznikov .
Aerial photographs and measurements of a Soviet Antarctic expedition carried out between 1960 and 1961 were used to map them. Name giver is the Soviet hydrographer S. S. Janowski. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Russian name to English in 1970.
