During the Middle Ages . Princess Minni has to marry rich Mr. Dippy Dawg (Goofy's name before 1939) by order of her father, the king . However, since she refuses, she is locked in the castle tower. Micky watches the action and goes straight to her rescue. But Micky is caught, brought before the king and sentenced to death by the guillotine . At the last moment Minni appears and announces that he will be married if he emerges victorious in the duel against Dippy Dawg. The king accepts his daughter's decision. Mickey wins the duel and can marry the princess.
