Frank Churchill
Frank Churchill (born October 20, 1901 in Rumford , Maine , † May 14, 1942 in Castaic , California ) was an American film music composer and worked for the Disney studios in the 1930s and 1940s .
Life
Frank Churchill composed the melodies for the Three Little Pigs films (including Who Is Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? In Die Drei kleine Schweinchen ), the songs for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (including Whistle While You Work and Some Day My Prince Will Come ), Baby Mine for Dumbo and the vocal pieces for Bambi ( Love Is a Song , Little April Shower , Let's Sing a Gay Little Spring Song and I Bring You a Song ).
In 1942 he was awarded the Oscar for the film music by Dumbo together with Oliver Wallace and was nominated for three further Oscars in 1942/43.
Frank Churchill committed in 1942 on May 14, suicide and was on the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale buried.
