List of residents of Duckburg
In this list, residents of the fictional city of Duckburg are described in Disney comics such as the Mickey Mouse notebooks, funny paperbacks ( LTB ), series and films as well as characters that are closely related to these residents.
The residents of the city are all anthropomorphic animals of the most diverse species ; the "normal" citizens consist predominantly (but not only) of dogs and pigs, less often of ducks and mice, in order to distinguish them from the main characters. Two groups are predominant, on the one hand the Duck clan around Donald Duck , called the Duck Kosmos, on the other hand the clan around Mickey Mouse , known as the Mouse Cosmos. The fact that they live together in Duckburg is only the case in German, Dutch, Scandinavian and Brazilian comics - originally the Ducks in American comics live in Duckburg , while Mickey Mouse and his close friends and relatives live in Mouseton . In Germany, these two cities were merged, so to speak. In the course of the decades, various new figures were invented, for example in the 1930s. For example, the dog Bolivar , which is rarely featured in stories today, or characters like Indiana Goof , which were created between the 1980s and 1990s. It is amazing that even among animals, a distinction is made between human and animal beings; that means, there are still no animals in Duckburg that behave like humans - one example is Pluto , who, in contrast to the other characters, behaves like a completely "normal" dog.
Most of the Ducks characters were created by Carl Barks , Al Taliaferro , Floyd Gottfredson and Romano Scarpa .
Figures in the duck cosmos
Donald Duck
Donald Fauntleroy Duck was originally formed as a counterpart to the clever Mickey Mouse invented and made his first appearance in the short film The Wise Little Hen ( The Wise Little Hen ) of 1934, then with his first companion Peter Pig . Donald's middle name, Fauntleroy , is a nod to his sailor suit, which was called Fauntler in the 1930s . However, it is rarely mentioned. Donald is notoriously unlucky who always takes his misadventures very personally and usually reacts cholerically to them. In more recent stories in particular, he is heavily indebted to his uncle Dagobert and has to work for him or accompany him on adventurous journeys, usually treasure hunts. Its chronic unemployment is also characteristic . Donald tries again and again in new activities, which he usually loses quickly. In Mickey Mouse magazine he is u. a. worked as an employee in the margarine factory, while he can be seen in the LTB ( Funny Pocket Book ) as a coin polisher for Dagobert Duck. From Walt Disney himself was determined that Donald on a 13 Friday , was born in March. However, various comic episodes record that Donald's birthday is on June 9, 1934, the release date of The Wise Little Hen . In addition, Donald repeatedly comes into conflict with Gustav Gans, who competes with him for Daisy's favor.
Phantomias
Phantomias (Italian Paperinik ) is an alter ego of Donald Duck, originally created to let Donald take revenge at night on people who take advantage of him or who play ill with him, such as his uncle Dagobert Duck or Gustav Gans. In the German-speaking area it is mentioned for the first time in the story The Metamorphosis in LTB No. 41. Donald is always on the alert to keep his second self a secret. In the LTB mentioned, the postman confuses Gustav Gans with Donald. The latter thinks that he has won the "Villa Rosa". During the tour of the house he discovers the diary of Phantomias, which is a kind of Robin Hood. He decides to follow in his footsteps. Donald pretends to be Phantomias' best friend and seems to provide him with information. At the same time, Donald is mostly a beneficiary of Phantomias' "semi-legal" activities. Phantomias' hiding place is in the secret basement of Donald's house, which is connected to Donald's bedroom by an elevator disguised as a wardrobe . He also hunts criminals with the help of some inventions by Daniel Düsentrieb and proves as a superhero that Donald can also be a winner, even if only in secret. He is also known as the Masked Avenger.
Agent DoppelDuck
Agent DoppelDuck (Italian Doubleduck ) is Donald who works for a secret service, the agency. The first DoppelDuck comic appeared in LTB No. 384. Donald Duck is not permanently employed by the agency, but is only consulted on extremely sensitive missions. Mostly he has to work with the agent Kay-K, who later leaves the agency. The agency's top boss is so secret that he hardly knows his name himself. Only DoppelDuck and the agency's director know him. In some comics it is shown that a hologram of the positive qualities of DoppelDuck is the top boss of the agency.
Bolivar
Bolivar (English Bolivar , Bornworthy , Borny or Bernie , especially in older translations also German Bernie , very rarely also Berni or Barbarossa ) is Donald's calf-sized St. Bernard . It was invented by Al Taliaferro and rarely appears in the stories of other cartoonists; most often it is used by vicar . He also has a son named Flocki , who was also invented by Taliaferro. Bolivar is lazy, greedy and very good-natured.
Schnurri
Schnurri (also Schnurlli , Mauzi or Maunzi , English tabby ) is Donald's house cat. It was invented by Dick Kinney and Al Hubbard . In contrast to the silent Bolivar, the reader participates in his thoughts. He is terrified of Dussel, whose appearance he always foresees in advance. Thereupon he always searches in vain for his salvation in flight. Schnurri also appears in the stories of Barks and Vicar , but only as a background character.
Tick, trick and track duck
The triplets Tick, Trick and Track ( Huey, Dewey and Louie ) are the sons of Donald's sister "Della Duck" (also: Dumbella Duck, Thelma Duck). Her father's name is unknown, but Don Rosa once claimed it was Daisy Duck's brother . You live with your uncle Donald. In the short film "Donald's Nephews" from 1938, her mother is called Dumbella.
The three are scouts with the Fieselschweif Fähnlein ( Junior Woodchucks ) and always have The Smart Book at hand. You can only tell them apart by their different colored hats. However, the colors cannot be assigned to a specific figure, as they vary depending on the artist (for most artists, Tick is the red, Trick is the blue and Track is the green). It is almost always the colors blue, red and green; in older stories by Vicar there is also yellow instead of green. In Al Taliaferro's comics , they can be distinguished by a colored breast ring on the sweater. Mostly they also use towels, bags, bed linen etc. in their respective hat color. In some comics they are well-behaved and obedient, in others sensible and intelligent and spiritually mature, and in still others they are portrayed as naughty, naughty children. For example, in one story they refuse to obey their uncle's request and get into the bathtub. They shake hands and speak the famous words from the translator Erika Fuchs: "We want to be a united people of brothers, in no need to wash and to be in danger" (this is an allusion to the Rütli oath as it was in Schiller's Wilhelm Tell is formulated).
In the first issue of Mickey Mouse magazine from 1951, their Danish names Rip, Rap and Rup were used in one picture .
In some stories, the three of them have a mistakenly added extra brother named Phooey Duck by editor Bob Foster . In German it was given the name Truck .
The three brothers first appear in the newspaper comic from October 17, 1937. Their first film appearance was on April 15, 1938 in the cartoon Donald's Nephews , in which they ravage Donald's house. They then appeared in 24 other short feature films. They experienced a cinematic resurgence in the animated television series DuckTales (1987–1990) and Quack Pack (1996). They are also represented in the new edition of the DuckTales .
Scrooge McDuck
Dagobert Duck (English Scrooge McDuck , also written $ crooge ) is referred to as the "richest duck in the world" in the Disney comics. His English name Uncle Scrooge is derived from Ebenezer Scrooge , the rich and stingy main character in Charles Dickens ' A Christmas Carol . Dagobert Duck is half owned by Duckburg and he wants to keep increasing his wealth. Furthermore, he is considered the stingiest man far and wide.
In Italian and Danish comics, Dagobert is considered the brother of Grandma Duck (Dorette Duck), but not in American comics. Erika Fuchs also translated Barks' comics to the effect that Dagobert and Dorette are siblings. This translation was retained by other draftsmen, only in the translations of Rosa's stories the American relationship is used.
He was also one of the main characters in the DuckTales series . In the cartoon Uncle Scrooge and Money , Bill Thompson lends him his voice, in all other productions Alan Young . Dagobert's German voice was initially Hermann Ebeling , later Joscha Fischer-Antze .
Between 1991 and 1993 Don Rosa wrote his life, the billions of Scrooge's life story, according to which he was born in 1867. In 1877 he earned his first money from a shoe shine box that his father had built for him. However, this was an American coin that encourages Dagobert to be more careful and "to be harder than the toughest and smarter than the smartest" until he made it to the top in an honest way. The coin obtained from a friend of his father's is Dagobert's number 1 and was invented by Carl Barks. After his life, his billions , he hates the expression "lucky tens" because he built up all his fortune on his own.
Daisy Duck
Daisy Duck (English also Daisy Duck ) is the fiancé of Donald Duck and adored of Gustav Gans. Her heart clearly belongs to Donald, but she flirts with Gustav every now and then. She is also Phantomime, the female form of Phantomias (LTB No. 57).
It was only Carl Barks who gave her the image that is still known today with a hair bow, blouse with puffed sleeves, pumps and arm rings and long eyelashes . At Taliaferro she mostly wore the fashion of the time with hats. Daisy Duck is a member of various ladies' clubs and parties in Duckburg.
Daisy Duck's first appearance was in the short film Mr. Duck Steps Out , in German Ein Tänzchen mit Daisy (1940).
Since the New Mickey Mouse Stories it has been spoken by Sabine Arnhold by default .
Donna Duck
Donna Duck (English also Donna Duck ) made her debut in the Disney cartoon Don Donald (1937). There are different views as to whether Donna Duck is the same as Daisy Duck. This view is often held, but there are several comics by Bob Karp in which the two characters meet.
Dicky, Dacky and Ducky Duck
Dicky, Dacky and Ducky ( April, May and June ) are Daisy Duck's nieces, who occasionally visit her. They are also more or less good friends of tick, trick and track. In contrast to the boys, they cannot be distinguished at all. They belong to the flock of great tits and in many episodes have their own room with their aunt Daisy. The triplets first appeared in the USA in February 1953, and in German-speaking countries the girls made their debut in Mickey Mouse a year later .
Gustav Goose
Gustav Gans ( Gladstone Gander ) is Donald Duck's cousin and, especially in the stories of Carl Barks and Vicar, his bitter rival for the favor of Daisy Ducks, who is considered Donald's girlfriend. Despite his last name, he is a duck. His most outstanding quality is his luck, which is always by his side. According to a story created by Don Rosa, he got this from his mother, who was also blessed with happiness. On one birthday, he was left lucky when he was struck by lightning, but he found it again on one of the later birthdays. Because of his enormous fortune Gustav often wins the lottery or sweepstakes , takes vast sums of money on the street or diamonds in chocolate boxes . Accordingly, he relies on Fortuna and abhors any work . In more recent stories, the stereotype Gustav, the lucky guy, is sometimes broken. In contrast to Dagobert Duck, Gustav did not achieve great wealth because he sacrificed the money he gained to his hedonistic way of life. According to Rosa, his father was General Golo Gans, his mother Daphne Duck, the daughter Dorette Ducks. One of his ancestors is the knight Gustavus the Lucky, who in the story of Drachengold has to get one of three keys in LTB 197, but in the meantime he loses his luck and in the end he is even worse off than his colleagues Dusselbart and Franzerich.
Dorette Duck
Dorette Anette Liesette Duck ( Elvira "Grandma Duck" Coot ) or Grandma Duck is after Don Rosa the mother of Donald Duck's father Degenhard Duck, Gustav Gans' mother Daphne Duck, Dussel's father Teddy Duck and granddaughter of the town founder Emil Erasmus Erpel ( 1790–1880), but does not belong to the McDuck branch of the family. Dorette owns a farm on the outskirts of Duckburg. She is very well known for her delicious apple pie, which the whole family loves to eat. But she is also very good at preparing other dishes of all kinds, which is why there are often family celebrations on her farm. Her husband's name was Hilmar Duck, her parents were Gunhilda Gans and Emelrich Erpel, the founder of the Fieselschweif flag. Franz Gans is the grandson of her late brother Emanuel Erpel. In some of the older comics her name was Annette. She drives a Detroit Electric , an electric car.
In some translations, especially those by Erika Fuchs, she is introduced as the sister of Dagobert, in others, as mentioned above, she is the mother of Dagobert's brother-in-law. The representation that she is not Scrooge's sister is used mainly by Don Rosa, Scrooge’s sister is especially used in the stories of Vicar.
Their farm animals, Hansi the horse, Billy and Fridolin the billy goat, Susi the pig, Emilie the chicken and Ferdinand and Stefan the bull have regular appearances at Carl Barks and Vicar .
Franz Goose
Franz Gans (English Gus Goose ) is a cousin of Donald Duck and works as a farmhand on Dorette Duck's farm. His favorite pastimes are eating and sleeping. Dorette Duck shows him remarkable tolerance and lets him go.
Franz Gans first appeared on April 6, 1938 in an Italian comic book. Its creators are Bob Karp and Al Taliaferro .
The German name comes from the fact that the correct translation by Gustav Gans was already taken when it was Germanized . Franz Gans is one of the few whose German name is not based on an alliteration but on a rhyme.
His parents are based on the family tree of Rosa Wilhelmine Erpel (daughter of Emanuel Erpel) and Gangolf Gans. One of his ancestors is probably Franzerich the Well-Body, who appears in the stories Drachengold (LTB 197), The Knight Without Fear and Nobility (LTB 203) and The Spirit from the Kanne (LTB 226). He lived in the Middle Ages and, like Franz, is greedy and lazy and does not like to fight. In the first story, however, he emerges victorious.
Fränzchen
Franz also has a nephew named Fränzchen (English Pepper ), who is exactly the opposite of his uncle in that he is interested in sports and there is nothing worse for him than nothing to do. His dream is to become a professional basketball player .
Primus by Quack
Primus Quack (Engl. Ludwig von Drake ), who still goes back to Walt Disney, "by polymath as the archeology to zoology everything has studied what one can only study" academic degrees in all sorts of disciplines and supports the family Duck with his more or less helpful theoretical knowledge. Von Quack works as a university professor, provided his research allows this. According to his own statement, von Quack has 166 doctoral hats and 92 state exams (LTB 25) or a certificate certifying that he is the scientist with the most certificates (LTB 307). He only admits that geography has never been “his subject” (MM 27/76). Von Quack always tries to get to the bottom of the problem scientifically ("What is clear anyway needs to be examined particularly well") and also arouses reluctance ("Scientist. Wiener. Do you have to be surprised?" (LTB 391, p. 185)).
His white hair, his friendly and sometimes scientifically absent-minded nature and his large private library are characteristic of him. With his pursuit of knowledge - "the honorable service to science" - he stands in contrast to the practical genius Daniel Düsentrieb, but shares with him the lack of interest in business. Primus von Quack usually wears a fine fir-green traditional jacket. His hobbies are mountaineering and everything with the ending "-logie" such as ornithology , geology or paleontology . He especially likes Wiener Schnitzel , Wiener Krapfen , Sachertorte , Kaiserschmarrn and grandma’s good food. His favorite animals are all from the high alpine mountains and his favorite plant is chamomile .
As one of the few residents of Duckburg, he maintains good relationships with Dagobert Duck without any business interest and is often consulted by him as an expert or mediated in the event of a dispute. Once Primus is in town, which is less often the case, the meetings with Dagobert are often friendly, only Primus' various ideas are often skeptical about Dagobert. Conversely, von Quack is allowed to express his opinion to his cousin Dagobert without being contradicted, such as: "Anyone who deals with human history solely to enrich himself instead of looking at it for its own sake is not worthy of its treasures!"
Ludwig Von Drake first appeared in 1961 as a presenter in the short film An Adventure in Color in the show Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color radio station NBC and was introduced as Donald Duck's uncle. Von Quack was a brilliant mediator of knowledge on these programs. Ward Kimball , one of Disney's Nine Old Men , was responsible for animating this character . The first comic he appeared in was the "Primus von Quack Mini-Series" (1961–1962); At the same time he appeared in various series by WDC and Donald Duck (examples: DD 91 and WDC 283). Barks used it only once, in a one-pager in "Uncle Dagobert No. 54". After that it was mostly used in European stories, but Americans Tom Yakutis and Bill White also produced some stories about it under the name of March of Science or those that appeared in WDC & S 555, 557, 559 and 561. In LTB 46 - Enten Edition (2015), Primus von Quack (as Walt Disney initially presented him) appears as a knowledge mediator in 22 short stories about topics such as archeology, bureaucracy, the discovery of fire, consumer society or manners. Under a pseudonym , so as not to endanger his scientific reputation, von Quack works as a fiction author and writes an autobiographical series of novels about the adventure archaeologist Crocodile Duckee (LTB-Spezial 66).
Primus says of himself that he comes from Vienna. The 111 cm wide by Quack was loud Comics on September 24, 1924. Austrian Vienna born and visited Alpine rear Walden primary school. For him, learning was anything but a passion at first and only a new class teacher, whom he followed as a primary school student when he was appointed to the university, aroused his interest in the sciences through practical lessons.
Von Quack emigrated to the United States in 1930 , where he married Mathilda Duck (sister of Dagobert Duck) and thus became an uncle of Donald Duck. Ludwig von Mises is considered the model of the figure ; this can also be seen in the Austrian accent that Primus used in the early editions of the LTB. For example, he occasionally used expressions like “a bit” or “ei, go”. Eberhard Prüter , who acted as the standard spokesperson for von Quack in the Disney cartoons, spoke him in the short films from 1999, the New Mickey Mouse Stories , accordingly with an Austrian accent. Primus von Quack, however, did not retain his Austrian roots in the sense of a yodelling skiing scientist, but rather sayings like “This is an absolutely Capuchin catastrophe!”, “After all, I have degrees in heraldry and genealogical dendrology, that is, genealogy”, “Kiss them Hand, Frau Doktor… ”, his hedonistic love for Wiener Schnitzeln (“ Well, in the package was my body and stomach snack - Wiener Schnitzel à la Weltschmerz! ”), His impractical, quirky, balancing, mediating, but also incorruptible manner and his aristocratic origins ("von" Quack) show him as an old Austrian in a traditional jacket, based on the "Habsburg myth" of Claudio Magris or the " Theresian people" of Hugo von Hofmannsthal . According to the comic factual situation, Quack's ancestors were ennobled by the ruling family Habsburg-Lothringen , whereby merit nobility (noblemen of) can be assumed. Quack's mother, the "Frau Mama", still lives in Vienna and delights her son, who has now also reached senior age, with frozen Wiener Schnitzeln sent by post every week.
According to Don Rosa's timeline, Primus von Quack was already dead in 1970, but this contradicts his comic and television appearances.
Dussel Duck
Dussel Duck (English Fethry Duck ) is a very clumsy, sometimes emotional cousin of Donald Duck and Gustav Gans. Donald usually tries to stay away from him. Dussel Duck was invented by Dick Kinney and Al Hubbard and first appeared in The Health Nut in 1964. Since then, it has mainly been used by Italian and Brazilian Disney writers, although the character has developed quite differently in Europe and Brazil (in Europe to Donald's idiot buddy, in Brazil to an independent hero). The character is not considered canonical by all draftsmen; For example, Don Rosa added him to the family tree of the Duck family - as a gesture to the European fans (as the son of Degenhard Duck's brother Teddy Duck and grandson Dorettes), but does not allow him to appear in his stories. His mother's name was Gretchen Gogel. Just as Donald wears a sailor's cap, Dussel almost always has a sleepyhead on his head. Dussel is, depending on the story and the artist, the caretaker of an apartment in the center of Duckburg, Scrooge McDuck's chauffeur and, in some American stories, a newspaper editor with Donald Duck. Especially in Italian stories, however, he changes his occupations in every new story. He gets the knowledge of his activities from correspondence courses. In stories with Hubert Bogart, he is his detective assistant. Dussel is often dressed in red, in American comics pink.
Flederduck
Flederduck ( Brasil . Morcego Vermelho ) is Dussel's superhero old ego. Whereby the "-hero" doesn't really apply here, since he usually throws the opponent to the ground by chance of his foulness. All in all, like Dussel, he is very clumsy. The figure is mainly used in Brazil , where it first appeared in 1973.
Didi Duck
In a few comics, Dussel has a 4-year-old nephew named Didi (English Dugan ), who has partly inherited the characteristics of his uncle and sometimes even drives him to despair. Possibly he is the son of Dussel's missing sister . Didi occurs relatively rarely in Germany, while it is very popular in Brazil , where it was invented by Luiz Podavin . He had his first appearance in 1992 in LTB 176.
Gyro Gearloose
Daniel Düsentrieb ( Gyro Gearloose ) mostly appears in stories with Donald and Dagobert Duck. He is an inventor by profession and invented "useful" things like the bread lubricator , the dark light , the portable hole or the telephone with a built-in iron, but can easily construct a faster than light spaceship within a week. His famous motto is “Nothing is to swear to the engineer”. He always has the right invention ready for Dagobert Duck, and if something goes wrong, his little robot helper helps him. His grandfather's name is Dankwart Düsentrieb, who worked for Dagobert Duck on his steamer from 1880 to 1883, and his father's name is Dübel Düsentrieb, who was one of the first Fieselschweiflinge and was thrown out of Fort Duckburg in 1902 by Dagobert , where the money store now stands . Daniel Düsentrieb was invented by Carl Barks in 1952.
Dieter jet drive
Sometimes, especially in one-sided, Daniel is accompanied by his similar-looking nephew Dieter (or Darius ; Newton ). Like his uncle , he is technically gifted. Dieter is also a member of the Fieselschweif flag , which is in his blood because his grandfather was one of the first Fieselschweiflinge. He first appeared in 1960 under Vic Lockman .
Della Duck
Della Duck (also: Dumbella Duck , Thelma Duck ) is Donald's sister (at Al Taliaferro Donald's cousin) and the mother of Tick, Trick and Track. In a comic strip by Taliaferro from October 17, 1937, Della sends her sons to Donald, about which she informs him in a letter. In this she describes herself as Donald's cousin. In the comic strip of November 21, 1937, Della Donald sends a telegram in which she writes that she would like her sons back, which is what happens. In another comic strip from May 1938, Della informed Donald by telephone that she would have to leave town for a while and gave her children back into his care. In the cartoon Donald's Nephews , published April 15, 1938, Donald receives a postcard from his sister announcing that Tick, Trick and Track will visit her uncle. Della is called Dumbella in this cartoon.
Della remained an "unseen character" for a long time. It was first seen in the Duck family tree of Carl Barks, which was illustrated by Mark Worden. In this she is referred to as Thelma Duck. In Don Rosa's Duck family tree (published in 1993) she is again referred to as Della and is considered Donald's sister. In the Dutch comic book 80 is prachtig (published 2014) Della is referred to as one of the first female pilots. Accordingly, she later became an astronaut. Before going into space, she left her children with Donald. It was then lost in space as a result of a failed rocket launch. A young Della can be seen in the 2017 Dutch comic series Donald's Eerste .
Della can be seen for the first time in animated form in the television series DuckTales . We learn that she once went on numerous adventures with Donald and Dagobert. Since Della wanted to explore space, Dagobert secretly built a rocket ship for her to surprise her. Della found this out prematurely, got on the missile, and took off. It was then lost in space as a result of a cosmic storm. It is later revealed that Della survived the storm and was stranded on the moon. However, she lost her left leg in an accident and is now wearing a prosthesis . After ten years on the moon, Della finally manages to return to earth. There she now meets her sons.
Wastel Duck
Wastel Duck (English Whitewater Duck or Abner Duck ) is the older brother of Dussel and cousin of Donald as well as Franz and Gustav Gans. In most of the stories he is a raftsman or a woodcutter. According to the pedigree of Don Rosa (see Duck ), his parents are like those of Dussel Teddy Duck and Gretchen Gogel. He also seems to have a sister who was Didi's mother. It was invented by Carl Barks.
Ancestors of the Duck family
Over the past 70 years the Duck family has had a number of ancestors added by a variety of authors and draftsmen. The "official" family tree is now that of Don Rosa, although it only takes up figures from Carl Barks. The most varied of interpretations resulted in countless inconsistencies. For example, Dagobert and Dorette are shown as siblings in most of the stories, but in Rosa they come from completely different families (Dorette's family had lived in Duckburg for a long time before Dagobert even went there from Scotland ).
Rivals of Dagobert Duck
As the second richest man in the world and thus the main rival of Dagobert Duck, one of the two characters Mac Moneysac or Klaas Klever usually appears . The two usually do not appear at the same time - in stories with one, the other is usually non-existent. The only stories so far in which both appear are Club der Billionaire from 1967 and All against one (printed in German-speaking countries in the funny paperbacks of the same name 341 and 452). The latter story shows Mac Moneysac as the second richest and Klaas Klever as the third richest man in the world. After Don Rosa both exist, who is the second richest man in the world is constantly changing. What they have in common is that they compete for business with Dagobert Duck and want to replace him as the richest man in the world, sometimes with temporary success. They also use dirty tricks. Often, however, the conflicts have a symmetrical character without a good-evil scheme.
Mac Moneysac
Mac Moneysac (English Flintheart Glomgold ) is just as stingy as Dagobert Duck and, apart from his often pronounced criminal energy, his character mirror image. With Don Rosa Mac Moneysac appears as the main enemy of Scrooge McDuck. Mac Moneysac had his first television appearance in 1987 in the animated TV series DuckTales , where he tried to humiliate Dagobert Duck and his great-nephew Tick, Trick and Track again and again without success. In this series he is also shown a little differently than usual: Here he is wearing a tartan skirt and does not live in South Africa, but in Duckburg. In addition, his name is written in DuckTale's Mac Moneysack .
Don Rosa's stories show that Mac Moneysac was born in South Africa in 1865 and died in 1965 at the age of 100. In the chapter or volume Der Schreck von Transvaal in the series Uncle Dagobert - His life, his billions , the young Mac Moneysac describes himself in a conversation with Dagobert Duck as someone who comes from Table Mountain, which is the anthology. In the original volume, Mac Moneysack says after being rescued from the water buffalo he comes "from England". In his mind, Dagobert later called him an Englishman, although Mac Moneysac had never revealed to him that he was one. Presumably "English" is to be understood here as a swear word of the Scots Dagobert for the Boer Mac Moneysac. According to Don Rosa, Moneysac is - in contrast to the tank crackers, who are rather good-natured criminals - unscrupulous and even murderous, which for Rosa is the main difference between him and Klaas Klever. In his first appearance in LTB he appeared under the name Guido Gütermann , although he was already known as Mac Moneysac in Mickey Mouse magazine .
In the stories of Don Rosa and Barks, Moneysac lives in Africa and, like Dagobert, has a money store there, while in the stories of almost all other artists (e.g. Vicar ) he lives in Duckburg. In history The oldest car in the world , Moneysac lives in Scotland.
Klaas Klever
In the Italian Disney comics, for example with Romano Scarpa , Klaas Klever (formerly also: Claas Clever , English John Davison Rockerduck ) usually plays the role of the eternal runner-up. This place is cemented by the fact that, unlike Dagobert, it has a penchant for luxury and is far more generous in dealing with money. In the competition with Dagobert Duck he does not shy away from criminal machinations - even with the tank crackers in some stories he forms an alliance. It is typical for him in the stories of Italian draftsmen to end up eating his hat in anger after a defeat by Dagobert Duck. Preferably with salt. Klaas Klever first appeared in Italy in 1963 in the story Zio paperone e il kiwi volante ( Uncle Dagobert and the Flying Kiwi ) by Gian Paolo Barosso and Giorgio Bordini .
The figure itself was told by Carl Barks for history in 1961 Boat Buster ( The boat race ) as a parody of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. invented. In the German version he bears the name Emil Erpel , which was later used for the legendary founder of Duckburg. However, since Rockefeller's grandson Michael disappeared in the same year and what happened was reminiscent of Barks' story, Barks never used the character again.
Even Don Rosa used the figure only once in the history of copper King of Montana . After Rosa, Klaas Klever, unlike Dagobert Duck and Mac Moneysac, did not develop his fortune himself, but inherited it from his father Kuno, who had made it immensely rich in the California gold rush in 1849. According to Rosa, Kuno Klever was a mentor for Dagobert who taught him to prospect for ore. Another story tells that Klever's fortune is half of Scrooge's earlier fortune. According to Don Rosa's stories, Klaas Klever was born in 1878 and died sometime in the 1970s, but probably in 1980, at the age of 102.
Tank crackers
The Panzerknacker ( English Beagle Boys Inc. ) is a criminal organization whose department for Duckburg has targeted Scrooge's money storage in many comics, but remains unsuccessful in many projects or is arrested. Often the members in their hiding place, a caravan, are portrayed as starving and barren. Convict numbers (176-167, 176-176, 176-617, 176-671, 176-716, 176-761, 176 - ???, the numbers vary depending on the number of tank crackers, but exist) are characteristic almost always from the numbers 1, 6 and 7). They are shown almost exclusively with a black mask (one of the few examples of a different kind is the story Die Zebra Mussel in LTB No. 1, where two representatives at Uncle Dagobert introduce themselves as business people “Panz & Knack”). Don Rosa also explains that the masks and the name come from his and Scrooge's time on the Mississippi.
The brains of the gang, especially among Italian draftsmen, are their grandfather Grandpa Knack (also Käpt'n Knack or 186-802 ; English Grandpa Beagle or Blackheart Beagle ), who appears in some stories with a sign with the text "Pardoned" . The Panzerknacker mostly refer to themselves as "Panzerknacker AG". Her fathers (176-617, 176-167, 176-716) made life difficult for young Dagobert in the stories of Rosa and Barks, together with her father, Captain Knack. The first generation consisted of river pirates on the Mississippi.
Sometimes, in addition to the "usual" tank crackers, there are others:
- Iku (English Intellectual Beagle ) with convict number 176-IKU for "IQ", that is, intelligence quotient .
- The Panzerknacker are often supported by their "lucky" dachshund eight times eight , rarely eight minutes eight (ital. Ottoperotto ), who wears a plaque with the inscription "64" or "8x8" around his neck and is always on the lookout for sausages. In some of the stories there is also a cat.
- Often times the tank crackers also have three disobedient nephews named Knackerknaben 1, 2 and 3 (English Beagle Brats ) or a niece named Penny (English also Penny ), who usually takes care of eight times and carries a slingshot .
- Dynamite cracker marked D-167 .
- Storm cracker labeled ST-671 .
- Chemistry cracker labeled C-176 .
- invisible geezer with a label that only the other bazookas can see ??? .
- Magnus who has no label.
- Cousin Nebel with convict number NEBEL , who can create a cloud of fog around him with his cap. Most of the time (due to fans or wind) this does not last long.
- Rarely does a colleague appear with the inscription VIP , which means Very Important Bazooker . This is derived from Very Important Person ( very important person ), a term for. B. used for celebrities .
- One story also shows an uncle named Al Knackone who tries to outwit Scrooge McDuck with some disguises.
- In the television series DuckTales the Beagle Boys were given the unique name Carlie , burgers , sloppy , knobby , Beebop , porthole , Kuno and The Bank Job . Babyface is based on the criminal Babyface Nelson .
176-167 is characterized in some stories as a notorious lover of prunes. Often in the cell of the tank crackers there is a picture of an older woman with a black mask, Grandma Panzerknacker ( Ma Beagle ), who appears instead of Grandpa Knack in the TV series DuckTales .
The English abbreviation “BB” (= Beagle Boys ) is often retouched to “PB” or “PK” in the German translation, which is interpreted as a gang of banglers.
The Panzerknacker AG is, as can be found in LTB No. 58, an international organization and has, among other things, agencies on the Australian continent, on Crete and even in Germany, as can be seen from the series "The Ducks in Germany" in Mickey Mouse magazine . As a rule, however, the power of command comes entirely from the Entenhausen tank crackers, more rarely from 110-110, who is then also the chief boss of the three immediate “buddies” around Grandpa Knack and can also dismiss them. If they have the authority to command, they are also called "command staff" or "command staff".
From time to time the tank crackers even recruit foreign criminals and let them become part of the AG. The Panzerknacker also occasionally appear in connection with Gundel Gaukeley, Kater Karlo, Mac Moneysac, Klaas Klever and the Black Phantom. They are recruited by Klever and Moneysac in many comics because they support the greed for Scrooge's fortune in order to endanger his position as the richest duck in the world.
According to Don Rosa, the tank crackers' ultimate goal is to deprive Dagobert Duck of his fortune, not least due to previous differences with Grandpa Knack (then Captain Knack) on the Mississippi, but they are rather good-natured criminals and could never be around anyone Bringing life, even if they often threaten it (see LTB 454).

Gundel Gaukeley
The witch Gundel Gaukeley (English Magica De Spell ) is another enemy of Dagobert Duck. Her goal is to get hold of the lucky tens (sometimes also a cruiser or thaler, at least Scrooge's first self-earned coin) to melt it into an amulet in Vesuvius , where she lives , which would make her the most powerful witch in the world. In her debut “The Midas Effect” (Carl Barks), she needs the lucky ten to turn everything she touches into gold. To achieve this goal, she occasionally cooperates with the tank crackers.
Gundel was invented by Carl Barks. He didn't want her to look like one of those typical ugly witches, but rather mysterious, mysterious and a little seductive. He created it among other things after the model of Morticia Addams from the " Addams Family ". Furthermore, he did not put her on as a typical witch who is naturally endowed with magic, but as a woman who has taught herself to do magic. Only through other draftsmen did she become the native witch.
According to the stories of Don Rosa, Gundel Gaukeley was born in 1908 in Naples , at the foot of Mount Vesuvius in Italy . Gundel can transform into other people. Your constant companion is a raven named Rurak or Nevermore (see below). Her favorite color is pitch black, her favorite perfume is musk and her favorite plant is the stinkhorn . She is allergic to garlic (but only in the Italian comics), which is explained by the fact that witches and vampires are related.

Nevermore
Rurak (English Ratface ) is Gundel Gaukeley's raven . In some comics he can speak. But mostly he's Nevermore (by Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem The Raven (: - "Quoth the Raven.: Nevermore" "Quoth the raven Nevermore.")) In the series DuckTales is he Gundel transformed brother she, despite her witch powers only can convert back with the help of the lucky ten . In the comics, on the other hand, he's just her animal companion. In one story he is supposed to be turned into an eagle . He is also Gundel's helping hand around the house and her reminder.
Mona Menetekel
Sometimes Gundel works with an inventive witch named Mona Menetekel (Italian: Roberta ). It is virtually the counterpart to Daniel Düsentrieb and tries to harm him. She is the clichéd example of an alternative with a knitted sweater and disheveled hair. Mona made her first appearance in 1976 under Rodolfo Cimino . Her hair color has changed several times, but she usually appears blonde . Much to Gundel's sorrow, she often brings her annoying nephews with her. After Cimino, she is a football fan .
Gundel Gaukeley's family
Gundel also has a family, but (similar to the Goofs) they appear very strange.
Karoline (English: Granny De Spell ) is Gundel's aunt, but she is demented. So she constantly forgets where she is. In addition, she transforms herself into what she is dreaming of in her sleep.
The second in the group is Klein Wanda (Italian: Minima De Spell ), Gundel's niece. She is relatively uneducated and usually gets on her aunt's nerves. She has a habit of never bothering again and again.
Last but not least, there is Roderich (Italian: Rosolio ), who actually does not belong to the family, but is still seen as a member. In addition, he keeps courting Gundel in the hope that they might get married. Unfortunately, this love is never returned by Mrs. Gaukeley, so that in the end he is left alone again. Gundel's hatred of him is not unfounded: He is portrayed as a stupid, broad-minded idiot.
Madame Mim
Madame Mim (English Mad Madam Mim ) is a corpulent sorceress or witch and friend of Gundel Gaukeley and is also very sociable towards the tank crackers. Mim appears sporadically in both Duck and Mouse stories to sow injustice.
In independent stories she is good-natured and a staunch conservationist. Occasionally she is abused by the tank crackers for their own purposes, but sees through the deeds and then pays them back in the end. The character originally comes from the Disney film The Witch and the Wizard .
Hugo Habicht
Hugo Holo Habicht ( Emil Eagle ) is Daniel Düsentrieb's personal archenemy. His own inventions are too bad, so he always steals from Jet Drive with the help of a time machine. In several stories you learn that although he has an extremely wealthy lifestyle with a chauffeur and limousine, he is still under the wing of his mother. The appearance of the hawk has developed differently in different countries. In his country of origin, the USA , he is a dark-skinned do-not-good, while in Italy he is a white-skinned criminal scientist.
Destructor, genius of destruction
Destructor ( Mad Ducktor ) is practically Daniel Düsentrieb's dark side, which was split off by the beta version of a machine. He wants to destroy Uncle Scrooge's entire money in revenge for the fact that this jet drive had hurt badly in these stories. Daniel Düsentrieb succeeded in stealing his body through an invention, which was accidentally reversed in a later story. His favorite food is muffins.
Zacharias Zorngiebel
Zacharias Zorngiebel (English Neighbor Jones ) is the neighbor of Donald Ducks. He is one of Donald's greatest enemies because he is often involved and at odds with him in neighborhood disputes. The causes of an argument are usually ridiculous. B. that a leaf has fallen from the other's tree onto your property. The conflicts often degenerate, so that in the end the houses of Donald and the neighbor can be badly damaged or even completely destroyed. Contrary to reality, the houses are there again in the next comic as if nothing had happened.
Zacharias Zorngiebel was sometimes also called Schorsch Schurigl (this name was also used by translator Michael Bregel in a Donald Duck comic that appeared in Mickey Mouse magazine for the leader of a gang of rascals), Zanker , Nickel , Knoll , Knackfuß or Eisenbeiß . In a few old comics his name is also spelled “Zorngibel”.
In LTB No. 101 he also appears with the name Käpt'n Kirk (classic analogy to James T. Kirk in Starship Enterprise ). There he is a vengeful sailor in two stories, but who is under the knot of his mother.
Brawler
Zanker (Italian: Anacleto Mitraglia ) looks like Zacharias Zorngiebel in many ways, but is slimmer and a little more skilful. It is not uncommon for him to invent sophisticated plans to tease his neighbor Donald. A trademark on his part is a mustache and the fact that he always wears a bowler hat. It was used for the first time in 1965 by Rodolfo Cimino , but it was only given its current form by Giulio Chierchini .
Rupert Schurigel
Rupert Schurigel (Italian: Anacardo Mitraglia ) is the nephew of Zanker, Donald's sullen neighbor. He bears little resemblance to his uncle, so that after initial difficulties he soon becomes friends with Tick, Trick and Track. On his first appearance, he is seen as an opponent of the triplets running at a soap box . It was invented by Andrea Freccero , who is known, among other things, for his cover for the LTB .
baptist
Baptist (full name: Baptist Bernhard Brinksdink ; Italian Battista ) is the butler Dagobert Ducks, who appears mostly in the comics. His main tasks are to call Scrooge's nephew Donald Duck into the money storage, to make tea and to fetch the smelling salts , if his master has passed out again - mostly as a result of wealth-decimating catastrophes. Occasionally he comes along as a helping hand on adventurous journeys, because Dagobert Duck forces him to do it, as he does with Donald Duck. In English he is known under the name Albert .
There is no Baptist in some comics. Instead, Dagobert Duck is served by Miss Rührig . But it is often the case that Baptist and Fraulein Rührig appear in the stories. Miss Rührig is more like the secretary there and sends telegrams. In many English comics, Scrooge's servant is a man named Johann , who, in Don Rosa's interpretation, is a Baptist cousin. In one story, a brother named Victor visits Baptist in the money store.
Baptist has a high moral conception and with this quality is sometimes Scrooge McDuck's conscience when he overrides certain boundaries. To this end, he would like to keep redeeming the holiday guarantee that Dagobert made him a long time ago, according to individual stories, which he is usually refused with nice regularity. You also learn from him that he likes to solve crossword puzzles and is allergic to apples.
Johann
The loyal servant and housekeeper of Dagobert Duck is called in the animated series DuckTales Johann (English Duckworth ). Without comment he does all the absurd tasks that are assigned to him. After Don Rosa, Johann is a close cousin of Dagobert's other servant Baptist. In DuckTales (2017) , Johann is already dead and returns to Villa Duck as a ghost. There it is mentioned that he was a master at organizing birthday parties for Dagobert Duck.
Miss Rührig
Miss Rita Rührig (English Miss Quackfaster ) is the secretary of Dagobert Duck.
According to Don Rosa's stories , Scrooge's sisters hired Rita Rührig as a secretary while he was on a trip, which Scrooge could hardly be satisfied with. If you refer to Don Rosa's biography of Dagobert Duck, Rita Rührig is likely to have carried out her job until the 1960s. Nevertheless, her figure is used again and again in current editions. Miss Rührig is often Dagobert Duck's chief secretary and, in the comics without a Baptist, also a butler for Dagobert Duck. From LTB 371 it emerges that Miss Rührig had a brief relationship with a tank cracker (namely in LTB 20).
In the Italian comics she is mostly slim and has blonde hair, while in the American comics she is short and has gray hair. It was invented by Carl Barks.
Frieda and Nicky
Frieda (English Mrs. Beakley ) was hired in DuckTales by Dagobert Duck as a nanny for tick, trick and track. She brought her granddaughter Nicky ( Webbigail "Webby" Vanderquack ) into the household of the Ducks, for whom Dagobert Duck developed familial feelings. Frieda has a slightly stressed but maternal character. Her cooking skills are highly valued by Tick, Trick and Track, but Dagobert always reacts to her food with rejection ( you always say that the way I look I should like my food ).
In DuckTales (2017) she is shown more muscular. Here you see them more as Dagobert's security officer. Nicky was a normal little girl in DuckTales who loved to play with dolls and have tea parties, while in DuckTales (2017) she is portrayed as an adventurous and cranky girl who is very intelligent.
Anwantzer
Adelar Anwantzer (Italian: Lusky ) is the secretary of Klaas Klever . He has to do all possible and impossible tasks and is thus the equivalent of Baptist. However, he likes to go beyond the limits of legality for his boss. Often he is also portrayed as a fool.
Once, however, when his boss is kidnapped, he refuses to pay out ransom money to take over his business.
Anwantzer is also known as Müller , Beutenmüller , Strebke or Schmidt in early stories .
Little helper
Helpers (Engl. Little Helper ) was marked for the first time in September 1956 and is the little robot -Gehilfe of Gyro Gearloose, the inventor. It consists of a lightbulb and a few wires and was brought in for repair by Donald Duck as a defective lamp in the Don Rosa comic Gyro's first invention ( The first success , published in 2002). This got something from Daniel Düsentrieb's intelligence beam and then developed an unexpected life of its own.
In addition to the thinking cap, little helper is a decisive source of motivation for Daniel Düsentrieb's inventions and often saves him and others from awkward situations through calm reactions. Helferlein is an artificial intelligence; In the German version, the speech bubbles usually contain “Bzzz”, which Daniel can usually understand as language. Helferlein also writes his own script that Daniel understands. Little helper has grown dear to Daniel, and you hardly ever see Daniel without him. Occasionally Helferlein's light bulb burns out or is damaged, then Daniel replaces it; Helferlein is also able to do this himself. Little helper was invented by Carl Barks.
Gitta goose
Gitta Gans (Italian Brigitta McBridge ) is the admirer of Dagobert Ducks. She worships him as a person, not for his money. But this does not want to enter into a relationship with her. It is too expensive because of its lifestyle, he claims. In reality, as a typical loner, Dagobert Duck will never form a solid bond. However, in newer editions of the LTB it is repeatedly pointed out that Dagobert may also have hidden feelings towards her. Gitta Gans often runs after Dagobert. She often appears with Kuno Knäul as a business partner. But nothing happens privately between these two. She probably doesn't have a permanent job and works in various professions, including running an agency for love affairs or producing fabrics (the latter can be seen in LTB No. 1 in the story The Columbus Butterfly ). Despite having the same surname, Gitta is not related to Gustav Gans.
Gitta Gans was invented by Romano Scarpa . The first time in the Funny Paperback it was drawn by him in LTB No. 1 in the story The Columbus Butterfly .
Kuno Knäul
Kuno Knäul (Italian Filo Sganga ) is an unsuccessful businessman. Once successful, it is usually very short-lived. He is characterized by his tireless inventiveness. If he has once again developed a good business idea, he arrives with this and asking for financial support to Scrooge McDuck , but who does not think much of his inventions. In such cases, Kuno Knäul receives help from Gitta Gans, who recognizes his genius and sees a chance to attract Dagobert Duck's attention through commercial success. But these businesses are always doomed to failure. After initial successes, bankruptcy is initiated by unfortunate circumstances or by the intervention of Dagobert Duck. His motto in every profession is “business is business”. The Romano Scarpa creation appeared for the first time in LTB 6 with the name Jakob Quackmann .
Sergei Schlamassi
Sergei Schlamassi (Italian: Bum Bum Ghigno ) is one of the laziest residents of Duckburg. It has a small beak and large, bushy eyebrows . His daytime activities consist of sleeping . If he's awake, he usually creates such a mess that he sometimes even surpasses Donald Duck.
His friends are Donald Duck and Daniel Düsentrieb , against whom he often plays quiz games that, despite cheating, usually lose. He has a big brother who works for the Duckburg secret service. Another family member is his cousin Lara Schlamassi (Italian: Mary-Jane Ghigno ). It was invented by Corrado Mastantuono .
Habakkuk
Habakuk (English Hard Haid Moe ) is a people-hating hillbilly from Hinterwildenwaldwinkel, a place that is only inhabited by 2 people and is further away from Duckburg . If someone approaches his house, Habakkuk drives them away with a shotgun .
On his farm u. a. his lazy hunting dog Tiger ( Houn 'Dawg ). In most of his appearances he is visited by Donald and Dussel , whom he cannot stand.
Habakuk is one of the few people in Duckburg and only loves children while hating adults .
Once Habakuk almost became mayor of Hinterwildenwaldwinkel, but then lost to his cow because he was too irascible. According to Dussel , Habakkuk is very "simple" and it is better not to mention any difficult words around him.
Habakkuk was invented by Dick Kinney and Al Hubbard in 1964 .
Truz
Habakuk's only neighbor is Truz (also Truz in Italian ), with whom he constantly argues. Like Habakuk, Truz is not exactly the brightest, but much younger, which is not helpful to him because of his overweight when he has to run away from Habakuk's rifle again.
Moby Duck
Moby Duck (also Moby Duck ) is a sailor who unsuccessfully catches whales for Dagobert Duck. Moby Duck was initially designed for television and first appeared in The Wonderful World of Disney in 1968 . He made his comic debut a year and a half earlier under Tony Strobl and Vic Lockman. His name is a reference to Moby Dick .
In Germany, Egmont Ehapa Media produced a number of comics between 1972 and 1983 with Moby in the lead role .
Today Moby Duck has almost completely disappeared from the comics because of whaling . A brief attempt at resuscitation were the stories from Duck Harbor .
Doofy Duck and Tümmi
Moby's friends are the porpoises Tümmi (Engl. Porpy ) and the Maat Doofy Duck (Engl. Dim Witty Duck ). The latter is not the brightest and thus represents the duck version of Goofy . In older stories, Doofy often appeared with Donald as a detective .
mayor
In the role of the mayor you can see many people who are mostly represented as pigs . The most famous is probably Mayor Balduin Bleibtreu , who has firmly established himself. Since the mayor has the highest position in Duckburg , one can assume that it is a city-state . Behind the waist circumference and pig face you can see a hidden criticism of politicians, especially since Barks pigs are usually the bad guys.
In one story it turns out that Balduin Bleibtreu and Donald Duck know each other from their school days.
The mayor usually worries about re-election and does everything to ensure that he continues to be in this situation. In LTB 377 the mayor is called Emil Eber .
Peter Pig
Peter Pig (Engl. Also Peter Pig ) is Donald's first mate and already appear at Donald's debut, The Wise Little Hen . He has as a second and last appearance trumpeter in the film The Band Concert (dt. The Band Concert ), which was released on February 23, 1935. There is also a cameo in the number "Smile, Darn Ya, Smile! / That's All Folks" in Wrong Game with Roger Rabbit from 1988.
In Federico Pedrocchi's comics , Peter acts as Donald's companion before Tick, Trick & Track were introduced.
Peter meets up with Donald at the Idle Hour Club, which later becomes the " Idle Hour Club" in German.
In more recent stories, Peter Pig is the nephew of the mayor of Duckburg, Bleibtreu, for example in Club der Idlegänger in LTB 412 or in Well-rested Rescuers in LTB 423.
Quack
Quack the Bruchpilot (English Launchpad McQuack ) is the private pilot of Dagobert Duck. For Mr. Duck, he flies anything that has wings. This almost always leads to crashes or emergency landings. The character can be seen in DuckTales as well as Darkwing Duck . Its German name is an allusion to Quax, the break pilot from the 1941 comedy film of the same name with Heinz Rühmann .
Goofy
Doofy (also Doofus ; English Doofus Drake ) is a friend of tick, trick and track in DuckTales . He lives next to the Villa Duck and is a bully. The slightly wider drake also worships Quack the Bruchpilot . He loves food and is almost always hungry. He appears almost exclusively in the first season of DuckTales . In comics he is usually called by his English name Doofus .
Panchito Pistoles
Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero Gonzalez , called Panchito Pistoles (English also Panchito Pistoles ) is Donald and Jose's friend and lives in Chihuahua . He's a typical Mexican with a sombrero , red suit and pistols. Panchito is part of the Three Caballeros and owns a horse named Señor Martinez . His first appearance was the 7th full-length Disney film Three Caballeros from 1944.
José Carioca
José Carioca (Brasil. Zé Carioca ) is a Brazilian friend of Donald Duck . The parrot lives in the Vila Xurupita in Rio de Janeiro . His first appearance was in Saludos Amigos in 1942 . He is very charming and popular with women. In Brazil he got other companions, including his nephews Zico and Zeca and his opponent Josef Hahn (Brasil. Galo ).
Oona
Oona (English Princess Oona ) is a princess from the Stone Age . It was brought into the present by Daniel Düsentrieb's time machine . Here she made friends with Donald Duck and doesn't want to go back. She has an excellent nose and is always hungry. With her childlike manner, she often makes Donald angry.
Striezel Streunecke
Striezel Streunecke ( Sonny Seagull ) is a fan of tick, trick and track. He has no relatives and lives in an old locomotive near the Entenhausen freight yard. Donald can't stand Striezel because he is "not a good company for the caring boys", although Striezel has already saved Donald's life . Striezel's main draftsman was Daniel Branca , and after his death Wanda Gattino in particular . Striezel is a reference to Huckleberry Finn .
Track keeper Spitzkriegler
Striezel's greatest enemy is the track keeper Spitzkriegler ( Mr. Phelps ), who always tries to capture Striezel because, in his opinion, nobody is allowed to stay in a wagon . Spitzkriegler has a rat-like face, which reinforces his role as a villain.
Bubba
Bubba (also Bubba ) is a stone age duck from DuckTales who has a triceratops named Treter ( Tootsie ). He is friends with tick, trick and track. It was introduced at the beginning of the second season of DuckTales . There Dagobert, Quack and the triplets travel back in time. But when they return, Bubba sneaks aboard the time machine with Treter and travels with them to Duckburg . Although Dagobert doesn't like him, he is ultimately allowed to live in the garden of Villa Duck. He calls Dagobert Dagolart . Since a jump the shark situation arose because of Bubba , he gradually disappeared from the show. In the 2017 version it was announced that Bubba would appear in the second season.
Emil Erpel
Emil Erpel (Engl. Cornelius Coot ) is considered to be the founder of Duckburg . The figure is an invention of Carl Barks and first appeared in 1952. Emil Erpel is portrayed in the Funny Pocket Books as a pioneer who has a penchant for corn, from which his nickname Kukuruz , with which he is referred to in LTB 437 in the story “Follow the plane trees”, emerges. In this very story he wanted to go on an expedition with a group of other pioneers (from which the founding of Duckburg later emerged), but he had overslept and therefore went on his own to catch up with them. On his way he slept on plane trees. He appears in several Donald Duck stories. His statue stands in the Entenhausen city park and has been almost torn down several times by financial crises. After Don Rosa , he is Grandma Duck's grandfather.
A-croissant and B-croissant
A croissant croissant and B , also Chip'n 'Dale or chip and Dale (engl. Chip' n 'Dale ) are two chipmunks (engl. Chipmunks ) and Gopher, the largest passion Nüsslein are. Their idyllic existence is threatened from time to time by lumberjacks, who are targeting the tree that serves as their home. The figures first appear in 1943. In the cartoons it is primarily Donald who suffers from their jokes. In the TV series Chip and Chap - Knights of Law , the two became the main characters and acted as detectives. In the German-speaking countries they are hardly used anymore, while they are still very popular in Scandinavia .
Henriette Chicken
Henriette Huhn (formerly Klara Kluck ; English Clara Cluck ) is a hen and friend of Daisy and Minnie Mouse . Her first appearance was in Orphan's Benefit in 1934 . She wears a very large blue hat with a pink feather.
Henriette has a multifaceted identity in the comics . On the one hand, she is in the ladies' circle in Duckburg , performs with Daisy Duck , Minnie Mouse and Klarabella Kuh , is acquaintance of Grandma Duck and owns a farm herself.
Hubert Bogart
Hubert Bogart (ital. Umperio Bogarto ) thinks he's the greatest private investigator from Duckburg is in reality but completely untalented. In German-speaking countries, he had his first appearance on July 11, 1982 in a story by Massimo de Vita . He is usually assigned by Dagobert Duck to solve puzzling cases. He also helps Quacky find his spaceship. Hubert Bogart always wears a yellow raincoat and a brown slouch hat. His assistant is Dussel Duck, a cousin of Donald. His German name is a reference to Humphrey Bogart and his appearance as a private detective in Casablanca .
Quacky
Quacky (ital. OK Quack ) is an alien in duck form with extraordinary abilities. He comes from the planet Ducky and travels on a spaceship . Quacky had his first appearance in 1981 in the story " Quacky, the globetrotter ". Quacky is very good natured and cannot lie. He speaks the language of locks and can therefore pick any lock. He can also make things float through the power of thought. In one story, he loses this strength when Daisy throws a stone at his head. Quacky is always on the lookout for his lost spaceship, which is the size of a ten cruiser coin. Hubert Bogart and Dagobert Duck help him find the spaceship, who lets Quacky look for the spaceship in his money storage. In LTB 225 he has a brother named Quarky , who is a thief and allies himself with the tank crackers.
Dolly Duck
Dolly Duck ( Italian Paperetta Yè Yè ) is the granddaughter of Scrooge's childhood sweetheart at the Klondike , Nelly. LTB 517 tells us that she grew up with her grandmother in Nugget Town. But Nelly can no longer take care of them so that Scrooge get there and, against his will, according to Duckburg keep up. Once there, she opens a band with Tick, Trick and Track. However, she takes the money she earns on her own and disappears. Meanwhile, Dagobert Duck is planning a party for Dolly. When Dagobert learns about ticks, tricks and tracks what happened and the tank crackers raid the party, Dolly comes back with Nelly and her friends and has the tank crackers arrested.
She is significantly younger than Donald, Daisy, Gustav and Dussel (approx. 20-30 years, maybe a little below) and is therefore friends with Tick, Trick and Track.
One of her ancestors is Dollina from Drachenland, who appears in the stories Drachengold (LTB 197), The Knight Without Fear and Adel (LTB 203) and The Gold from the Kanne (LTB 226) and is nine to 14 years old. She desperately wants to be a knight and always wears boys' clothes, although as the niece of King Dagobertur she is said to be a princess. Daisetta, Dorette, Henrietta and Gittalia therefore urge them to change as quickly as possible. However, her cousins Tickos, Trickos and Trackos, the Magister Master Primus and Master Düsentrieb always stick to her and encourage her not to give up. In the first story she plays the decisive role when she sets off, first disguised as a knight and then learns that the magic can only be stopped by a girl. In the second part she only plays a supporting role, while in the third part she is accidentally exposed and she now has to devote herself to typical female duties, as the women find that she is now too old to play. However, she cannot cope with cooking, dancing or weaving. And she is forced to exchange her pants for a skirt. In the end, however, she manages to defeat the attacking pirates. However, like the knight Donaldus who managed to get an empire, you don't believe anyone. However, both still decide to live their dream.

After the receipt was found, Schofel destroyed it, but was photographed by a pack of journalists .
His full story with Scrooge on the Klondike was later explained in His Life, His Billions by Don Rosa . Among other things, a story by Rosa was written in 1988, in which Schofel and Dagobert are currently vying for a lost Dagobert sledge, in the hope that there will be something valuable in it. His first appearance in Germany was in 1969, which was a continuation of the first story with him, which was never published here. But you can guess what happened in this first story: “That must be the island on which we met the crazy Professor Piepenbrinck! This guy who wanted to usurp all the treasures in the world! Only that Uncle Dagobert and I got in the way ” , as well as “ You [meaning Donald and Dagobert] I owe the loss of the magic formula according to which stones could be turned into gold! It is your fault that my dream of world domination did not come true! " . In the story, the count wants to take revenge for this by sending Dagobert and Donald into the 17th century. In another story, Dagobert succeeds in buying Graf Paytag's island cheaply and building a hotel on it, with the Count as manager . Occasionally the tank crackers also work for him. He also made an appearance on the TV series DuckTales under the name Victor Luzer .
Duckburg resident of the 1920s
In the 20's it was already Entenhausen protected by Phantomias from evil. But since Donald was probably still a long way from being seen waddling around, someone else had to take care of safety in the city on the Gump: The First Phantomias , alias Lord Quackett.
Lord Quackett
John Quackett , better known as the first Phantomias (Italian: Fantomius ) is a former master thief. As Phantomias, he stole money from the rich and gave it to the poor. Quackett made his first appearance on LTB 41 in the form of Gustav who mentioned Quackett and Detta. In LTB 455 one learns that he is still alive. The lord has another brother named Henry Quackett , also known as the Phantom of Notre Dame .
Commissioner Pinkus

Detta is cunning and often helps Phantomias, while Darendorf prefers to stay in the background and provide the right equipment with all the trimmings. The three of them live together in Villa Rosa (Italian: Villa Rosa ).
Princess Marbella
Princess Marbella (Italian Reginella ) is the ruler of the Pacific planet Pacificus , a planet that does not have a fixed orbit and where subtropical weather can be found. The residents always have the option to change the career of their planet. A few years ago, the princess and a few residents fell to earth , where they built an underwater city in the Bay of Silence in front of Duckburg . They built the city under water as the earth's atmosphere can mean death for them. Donald passes out during a dive but is rescued by the Pacific, whereupon he falls in love with Marbella. The Pacificers can only maintain their form of society in isolation, which is why Donald has to say goodbye quickly, as Marbella opts for the people rather than Donald. In later stories, Marbella and her people live again on the planet and are besieged several times by invaders (including tourists from Duckburg ). Donald can usually drive them away with the help of Marbella's curse ray , which costs Marbella a lot of energy . Marbella was penned by Giorgio Cavazzano and appeared for the first time in 1972.
Agent 23
Agent 23 (brasil. 0.0. Duck ) is a secret agent and a direct parody of James Bond , invented by Al Hubbard and Dick Kinney . Disney designed eight stories between 1966 and 1970 in which the character played a leading role. After that, the spy in Brazilian stories became more of a figure of joke that is already going in the direction of slapstick . Outwardly he bears a great resemblance to Franz Gans, Donald's cousin and Grandma's adjutant. Since the agent is a parody, he wears a clichéd raincoat with a checked hat and initially a pipe that he uses as a mobile phone . Despite his title as a secret agent , he often solves cases that one would more likely attribute to a (private) detective. Like his literary model, 23 has several secret weapons with sophisticated technology. Unlike his colleagues in the agency, he has a rather limited mind and solves the cases more by chance than by real skill. He is regularly accompanied by his assistant Mata Harrier, who has a crush on him, and his dog Wolf . He has never been included in a family tree or anything like that, but it can be assumed that he is a bachelor.
Mata Harrier
Mata Harrier (Bras. Also Mata Harrier ) is a secret agent and constant partner of Agent 23. After eight stories produced directly by Disney, she has also been used by Brazilian artists and writers. Especially in the 70s and 80s she appeared in Brazilian stories, always at the side of 23. Her role always fluctuates between a permanent employee or just the secretary of Agent 23. One can infer from her ambiguous statements to the agent that Mata is in love with her partner. This bond is sometimes shown so extreme that you can believe it is really a love affair. One can assume that Mata is a reference to Miss Moneypenny from the James Bond films, who is also in love with her partner, but always has the disadvantage of the typical Bond girls . It is also likely that her name is an allusion to the Dutch spy Mata Hari .
People around Phantomias
Phantomias' friends
Eins (Italian: Uno ) is a super-intelligent computer that is located on the 151st floor of the Ducklair Tower and was built by Everett Ducklair. After Ducklair built it, he moved to the Himalayas . Nobody knew about one until Phantomias found him. He is very nice and hates being called "computer" instead of "artificial intelligence".
Xadhoom is a fellow campaigner of the New Phantomias. Xadhoom is very moody and rough. It comes from the planet Xerba. It also consists of energy , which it often uses as a weapon.
Klarissa (Italian Lyla ) is a journalist for Kanal 00 . But secretly she is an android of the temporary police and fights with Phantomias against the "looter". Phantomias' enemies
Two is like one a supercomputer, built by Everett Ducklair, who was only intended as a backup of one and was on the "bench" for years and was bored, which is why he got angry and tried to rule the world. When Everett Ducklair returned, he took out Two along with Phantomias.
Duckoids
The inhabitants of the planet Alpha-Auri (Italian Beta Centaurum ) are called duckoids (ital. Paperoidi ). They are bird-like beings with an upright gait and possess galactic powers that make them superior to the Earthlings . Unlike the inhabitants of the earth, they wear full body suits and lush hairstyles. They are ruled by a monarch who, like them, is mostly peace-loving. Alpha-Auri is made of pure gold and is about 100 years away from Earth . Everything on the planet is made of gold because it can grow there. The Duckoids made their first appearance in 1982 under Romano Scarpa .
King Astroduck
King Astroduck (English King Ducklien ) is the former ruler of Alpha-Auri. During his reign he acted tyrannically and was exiled after the overthrow of the people , during which he is on the road with the Auromobile , whose fuel, gold , will eventually run out. Because of this, he then makes a deal with Dagobert Duck . Later he is out for the gold medals of the Olympic Games . An invention by XZ 1 allows him to talk to the Ducks in new stories.
Princess Daysilia
Princess Daysilia (Italian: Zilia ) is the granddaughter of King Astroduck. She had a carefree life with him. Daysilia is very similar to Daisy, which is why she has been able to play something to Donald several times. She always wears green clothes and accompanies Astroduck during his farewell into space - exile .
Sock and Gonz
Sock and Gonz (Engl. Sock and Gonz ) are loyal supporters of Astroduck. They share the same character traits (cunning, arrogance and loyalty). The similarity does not apply to the outside, as one is small and plump and the other is tall and thin.
XZ 1
XZ 1 (Italian Gaul ) is the king's loyal inventor . He bears a strong resemblance to Daniel Düsentrieb and is also technically gifted, so he controls the Auromobile or built a translator so that the Erdians understand Astroduck too.
Bimbo
Bimbo (Italian Papertotti ) is a well-known football player from Duckburg who first appeared in 2008. The bad jokes that he has to tell everyone at all times are striking. As a child he was together with Donald, Gustav, Dussel, Daniel and Franz in a soccer team under the direction of Dagobert. a. played against Micky, Goofy and Rudi. Incidentally, Bimbo's Italian name is a reference to the football player Francesco Totti .
Rebo
Rebo (Italian also Rebo ) was the unscrupulous dictator of Saturn. From the beginning he was interested in subjugating the people of these little red men. Incidentally, the Saturnians love Scrooge's money. This is why he campaigned to drive Rebo out again so that the Saturnians can live in peace again. Unfortunately, their plan does not work and the dictator continues to rule the planet. Only 30 years later, Donald and Dagobert manage to free the people. The Alien was invented by Luciano Bottaro and Carlo Chendi in 1960.
Mr. Bauz
Mr. Bauz (Italian Signor Bunz ) is a scientist who lives on the island of Ula-Ula . The character appeared only once under Romano Scarpa in 1959, but is considered to be one of the most original characters he has ever created. In that story, Dagobert installs a computer in his office , but it doesn't work properly. That is why the manufacturer suggests a collaboration with Bauz, who knows the field very well. Even though he lives on this remote island far from western civilization . Its appearance is also interesting, as it has a kind of fur all around, with the exception of its arms and legs.
Genia goose
Genia Gans (Italian: Genialina Edy Son ) is an inventor. She did the design of Phantomime and built weapons. It has feminist and emancipatory traits. She runs a delivery service and knows karate . Goofy
Goofy (also Goofy ) is one of the oldest Disney characters together with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and has also experienced numerous adventures in his own films and comics, including as "Supergoof". Rudi Ross and his girlfriend Klarabella Kuh are among his best friends. Goofy was invented by Art Babbitt . Its original name was "Dippy Dawg" (Eng. Twisted dog). In the cartoon series Goofy & Max , Goofy has a son named Max, whose best friend is the boy from the neighbors. His father is Kater Karlo, the famous archenemy of Micky and Goofy.
Goofy is a clumsy, childishly naive, but friendly fellow who helps Micky through his crap in one or the other criminal case. In the Wednesday story series at Goofy , which is specially dedicated to Goofy , Goofy works as a writer and invites Micky to come and read him his novels. This series was printed in the LTB, but especially in the Donald Duck paperback .
A kind of running gag is that Goofy has a lot of different relatives who, among other things, have constructed a lot of crazy inventions.
Indiana Goof
Indiana Goof (Italian Indiana Pipps ), a world-famous archaeologist and cousin of Goofy , was created in 1988 by Bruno Sarda . He made his first appearance on LTB No. 144 in the 54-page story The Hunters of the Lost Temple . The name of the character and the story are borrowings from the Indiana Jones adventure film series .
Indiana looks almost the same as Goofy, but he has stubble on his chin and a rounded nose. Like Indiana Jones, he wears a brown hat and boots, baggy trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, a belt and gloves. He often has a rope on his belt that he uses as a lasso in many stories . He is afraid of losing his hat, and eats Negritas, a licorice- like sweetness that only by his friend Paco Negrita in Brazil is delivered. Indiana Goof always uses a window to get into a house. He also puts up a tent in each bedroom instead of sleeping in bed.
Alfons
Alfons (English Gilbert ) is Goofy's nephew , very well read and almost always wears a doctoral hat as a sign of his intelligence. His way of speaking is usually of a very high level, which is why he doesn't talk to Goofy about his studies, but more banal things. Mostly he is a good-natured guy, but it can happen (especially in one-sided) that he interrupts Goofy during his pseudoscientific lectures and becomes rude. Occasionally, Alfons also turns into Super Alfons.
Pluto
Pluto (also Pluto ) is Mickey Mouse's loyal orange-brown dog . Micky got it as a puppy from children on the street. Its name goes back to what is now the dwarf planet Pluto , which was discovered at the time when Walt Disney invented the dog Pluto.
Pluto is known for its extraordinarily fine nose, which is why it bears the name Spurobold in at least one story . This name was used before for an independent character. As a search dog he has already been loaned and used by Tick, Trick und Track from Micky Mouse (e.g. in LTB No. 58, when he rediscovered the crown of the Prince of Duckenmark, which was believed to be lost).
Minnie mouse
Minnie Mouse (since 2014 with "e" at the end, before Minni; English Minnie Mouse ) is Mickey Mouse's eternal fiancée . She is something like his romance, but Mickey can sometimes get a basket from her , because Minnie has a sometimes pronounced temperament.
Minnie and Mickey Mouse live in different apartments. However, they often manage their problems with Mack and Muck and their adventures as a team. Minnie is very popular with everyone, only with the cat Karlo she has no friendship. She is often involved in social institutions and enjoys chatting with her best friend Klarabella .
Minnie is voiced in Diana Borgwardt's new cartoons and films .
Minnie's "real" name is Minerva Mouse and she first appeared with Mickey Mouse in the 1928 cartoon Plane Crazy . She has also appeared in comic strips since 1930 together with Mickey Mouse.
Figaro
Figaro (also Figaro ) is Minnie's cat. He first appeared in Disney's second feature-length film , Pinocchio , in 1940 . He was first portrayed as Minnie's cat in the early 2000s. Mostly he creates some kind of chaos , from which Minnie has to help him out.
Commissioner Hunter
Superintendent Albert Hunter (English Chief O'Hara ) is Duckburg's chief of police. He often consults Mickey Mouse when he is stuck with a case. This happens quite often, as Hunter keeps getting complicated and strange cases. The relationship of trust between Inspector Hunter and Mickey Mouse goes so far that Hunter finds support from Mickey during investigations without having given him an official assignment. When Mickey Mouse has solved a criminal case, it is usually closed by Inspector Hunter, who arrests the criminal or criminals. Hunter is married to his annoying wife Petunia (Italian: Petulia Basettoni ). He first appeared in 1939 in Hunt for the "Phantom" ( Mickey Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot , text: Merril de Maris).
Inspector Issel
Inspector Issel (English Mr. Casey or Detective Casey ) is forever the second in the police station. He's a little jealous of Mickey Mouse and screws up almost every case he snatches. Still, he's actually a good guy. He first appeared in 1938 in Die Plumber's Gang ( Mickey Mouse and the Plumber's Gang , text: Merril de Maris).
The main characteristic is the cigar , which always hangs between its pronounced lips.
In LTB No. 239 he is almost promoted to commissioner, but then finally renounces this honor, pointing out that Duckburg cannot do without him. He would have been transferred to another town, because there only needs one commissioner in each town, and in Duckburg he is already Commissioner Hunter. In more recent LTB he solves various cases with his colleague Steinbeiß.
Inspector wolffish
Inspector Steinbeiß (Italian: Rock Sassi ) is a colleague of Issels, who was invented by Giorgio Cavazzano and appears exclusively in Italian comics.
Its size and its eponymous lower jaw are striking .
He's from Texas , what u. a. can see on his cowboy boots. His family is made up of criminals. Since stone bite was always different, he applied to be a police officer .
Klarabella cow
Klarabella Kuh (English Clarabelle Cow ) is one of Minnie's and Daisy's friends. She is often invited to the coffee parties and Sunday gossip at Minnie's. She gives Minnie comfort in hopeless situations. She is the friend of Rudi Ross, but often also with Goofy. Klarabella often appears as an emphatically “simple” woman with “simple” wishes and dreams, but is nevertheless quite clever. She is also often used in the stories of Donald Duck - as Daisy's friend. The chemistry between her and Donald is wrong. In older comics she is still called Kunigunde.
Rudi Ross
Rudi Ross (formerly: Pferdinand , Horaz Pferdehalfter , Otto Oberklister , Horaz Horse ; English Horace Horsecollar ) is Klarabella Kuh's friend. He stands out by wearing a harness and his neighing laugh. He is a gifted craftsman and in himself a good-natured, loyal fellow, but sometimes tends to be cocky and self-portrayal. In some LTB stories he is also called Horace according to his English name.
Mack and Muck Maus
Mack and Muck (English Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse ) are Mickey Mouse's two nephews. Unlike Tick, Trick and Track about Donald, they are not an integral part of Mickey's household, but it seems as if they visit every now and then. Micky usually lives alone in his house with Pluto. They are often in the mood for pranks and not always obedient. You have also helped Mickey Mouse solve cases several times.
A little anecdote can be found in a Donald Duck booklet: Daniel Düsentrieb was initially not allowed to meet the Ducks, so they had to be "doubled". In order to avoid this conflict, Tick, Trick and Track were replaced by Mack and Muck.
Atömchen
Atömchen (Italian Atomino Bip-Bip ) is a being from the 4th dimension who occasionally helps Mickey Mouse with cases. Atömchen is, as its name suggests, a greatly enlarged atom. It was enlarged by Professor Wunderlich together with his brother "Betömchen". His brother, however, was of an evil nature and helped the cat Karlo with a crime until he had doubts and decided on the good side. Thereupon the cat Karlo reduced him again with the machine he had stolen and Atömchen remained the only one of his kind. He feeds from the socket (but is also able to eat radioactive mushrooms, and describes it as a “delicious uranium aroma”) and can melt steel with its meson breath. He can also use his mouth to generate light , rays of laughter and rays of hypnosis . In a story in LTB No. 9, he even replaces the motor that was stolen from Micky. Atömchen appears almost exclusively in older LTB stories, as it was used almost exclusively by its creator Romano Scarpa in the 1960s, who had it performed for the first time in 1959.
gamma
Gamma ( Eega Beeva ) is a man from the future who is good friends with Mickey Mouse and who works in his home as a professor at a university . Gamma, a 88.88 cm tall person of the future with spaghetti arms, nibbles on naphthalene balls , is allergic to paper money and sometimes pulls an entire home furnishings out of his shorts . In addition, when he visits Mickey, he sleeps on one of the pedestals of the bed. In the past it was often claimed in Germany that Gamma was an alien and came from the edge of the Milky Way , but this has been refuted in more recent volumes because he has always been a time traveler in the USA . Volume 98 of the LTB series only contains stories in which Gamma plays a part. Gamma was created by Floyd Gottfredson in 1947 .
Fips
Fips (Engl. Pflip the Thnuckle-Boo ) is a Thnuckle-Boo , a strange dog being. He and Gamma are strongly connected, so that he can automatically warn Gamma or change color in case of danger. He made his first appearance in Mickey Makes a Killing in 1948 .
beta
Beta (Italian Cometa Beta ) is a lively comet and Gamma's steadfast friend. With the light it emits, it can accelerate the growth of plants. She often wears a red bow tie. Her biggest nemesis is her brother Theta , who always looks charred and dirty on the face. Beta first appeared in 1992.
Tabea True
Dr. Tabea Trifftig (Italian: Eurasia Tost ) is an archaeologist and friend of Micky and Goofy . It is the female counterpart to Indiana , but has fewer peculiarities. If it occurs, Micky and Goofy often move into the background, as it is difficult to evade their presence . At first, Tabea was still drawn by Giorgio Cavazzano , but now mainly by its inventor Casty .
Prof. Zapotek and Prof. Marlin
Professors Zamuel Zapotek (Italian Zapotec ) and Marlin (Italian also Marlin ) work for the Entenhausen Museum, in whose basement there is a time machine that Micky and Goofy can use to travel back in time, mostly to solve cultural-historical puzzles. Often it turns out that it was only through the actions of the two in the past that the creation of this puzzle was made possible.
The two professors are constantly arguing and sometimes fighting, which is due to the fact that both tend to outbursts of anger and are very stubborn in their respective opinions. Especially when something threatens to go wrong with the time machine, neither of the two skimp on criticism of the other's work. Marlin is a physicist and a Zapotek archaeologist. One of the stories tells that Marlin is married to a fellow student named Anni.
Zapotek's first solo mention occurs in the story The Mysterious Continent Mu , which is printed in LTB No. 141, but actually appeared in the magazine Topolino in 1979 . Both appear together for the first time in LTB No. 121 in the story “The Treasure of Priam”, but in the context it becomes clear that Micky, Goofy and the professors must already know each other at this point. Here the LTB does not adhere to the chronological order such as B. when Indiana Goof occurs .
Thicker
Dicker (rarely also Eddi , English Butch ) is a friend of Micky and Goofy and occasionally appears in their stories. He made his first appearance in the comic strip Micky versus Ratzo (English Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers ) from 1930. Dicker is a former crook . He has no manners and likes to spend his free time in Bobby's pool hall . Mostly he wears a beret and a sweater . One of the stories tells that Dicker has a niece.
Prof. Wunderlich
Professor Wunderlich (including Professor M ; Engl. Doctor Einmug ) is nuclear scientist in Entenhausen . He actually only conceives his inventions for peaceful purposes, but these are constantly stolen by the cat Karlo and changed to evil. He is the creator of Atömchen . Its English name is a mixture of the German cliché words Einstein and Bierkrug (mug). He first appeared under Floyd Gottfredson in 1936.
Dr. Two stone
Doctor Zenobius Zweistein (English Doctor Static ) is a nano- technologist from Duckburg who is friends with Mickey Mouse. His name is a reference to Albert Einstein . Unlike Professor Wunderlich, Doctor Zweistein is still young and hungry for success. He did not believe in Santa Claus as his existence cannot be scientifically proven, but was taught otherwise. Zweistein was invented by Ferioli in 1996 .
Spürli
Arnold Spürli (English Shamrock Bones ) is a master detective from Zurich . He is often on the hunt for criminals with Mickey and Goofy. It's a parody of Sherlock Holmes .
Mortimer mouse
Mortimer Maus (also Uncle Mortimer ; English Uncle Mortimer ) is the uncle of Minnie Mouse . Mortimer lives on a farm where he raises cows. He first appeared in Mickey Mouse in Death Valley in 1930 , where he was still skinny and had a mustache . In The Lair of Wolf Barker he got his "modern" design with a bulging stomach, whiskers and glasses. Mortimer was also the name originally intended for Mickey Mouse.
Linda
Linda (called Aunt Linda ; Italian Zia Topolinda ) is Mickey Mouse's aunt. While Goofy and Minnie had many relatives over time , Micky never had a family until Romano Scarpa invented Aunt Linda in 1960. She had her first appearance at LTB 9. There we learn that she used to take care of little Micky until he was kidnapped by the little tomcat Karlo and Trudi. In the end everything went well, but Linda felt guilty about Micky until LTB 9. From then on it was used almost exclusively by Scarpa . It has been used regularly since the 2000s and is used as a steadfast relative of Mickey. In Mickey Mouse and the Mohawk Chain , she owns a farm with guinea pigs , where all the animals flee several times because she left the door open. Her brother is Uncle Maximilian .
Prof. dry dust
Professor Theophil Trockenstaub (also Prof. Samuel Scherbe ; English Prof. Dustibones ) is an archaeologist . Unlike Indiana Goof, he always approaches his projects scientifically and leaves the adventures to his "assistant" Micky. He wears a pith helmet. Dry dust was created by Floyd Gottfredson in 1940.
Karlo the cat
The cat Karlo (English Black Pete , originally Peg Leg Pete ) is Mickey's archenemy . It goes back to the character Bootleg Pete from the short series Alice , where he was still a thieving bear with a wooden leg and top hat. After he appeared in a few short episodes with Oswald the funny rabbit from 1926 to 1927 and met Mickey Mouse for the first time, he was redrawn as an anthropomorphic tomcat. His first appearance as "Peg Leg Pete" he had in 1928 in the famous short film Steamboat Willie , where he is the captain of a paddle steamer and comes into conflict with Mickey. In the following Disney cartoons he competes for the favor of Minnie, but in the comics he is a criminal of the Duckburg Underworld . In the translation of the story "Mickey Mouse and the Uninvited Guest" he is referred to in a radio search message as "Karl Friedhelm Katermann, known as 'Kater Karlo'". “Kater Karlo” would therefore only be his pseudonym .
One of Carlo's ancestors is the robber baron Karolus (he is constantly called "Klauallus", to his displeasure), who appears in the story "The Knight Without Fear and Nobility" (LTB 203).
In the DuckTales episodes "The Pearl of Wisdom" and "Snake Eater" Karlo appears with his English name "Pete". In the cartoon series Goofy & Max he has a rather contemplative character. There he has a feisty wife named Karla. The two give each other unusual nicknames such as "honey cake", "grumpy bear" etc. Karlo and Karla have a son whose name is Karlo junior, Kajo or KJ. To the chagrin of the father, he is the best friend of Goofy's son Max. Furthermore, Karlo and Karla have a daughter named Karabinchen ( Pistol ). In the series, Karlo is not portrayed as a criminal, but is a car dealer who, however, often uses unfair business methods. Besides that, he just wants to have his peace and quiet and amass some wealth and fame on the side. Goofy regularly prevents this with his clumsy manner.
Kater Karlos standard speaker in German dubbing was Wolfgang Kühne until 1998 , and since then Tilo Schmitz . In older cartoons he was also sporadically dubbed by Erich Fiedler and Arnold Marquis .
Trudi
Trudi (Italian: Trudy ) is engaged to the tomcat Karlo. The two have known each other since childhood, as is evident in Trudi's debut story Topolino e la collana Chirikawa ("Mickey Mouse and the Iroquois Chain ", LTB 9) from 1960. It was invented by Romano Scarpa, but was soon used by other Italian authors as well. Trudi not only resembles Karlo visually, but is usually portrayed as at least as cunning as him.
claw
Kralle (Italian: Plottigat ) is one of the cousins of tomcat Karlos. He is considered to be very intelligent and uses this cleverness exclusively for criminal purposes. Slightly slimmer than him, he is still of a strong stature and is nowhere near as hot-headed as Karlo. He is ready for any outrage, but often urges prudence. Kater Karlo, Trudi and Kralle often appear as a trio, especially in LTB, for the first time in LTB No. 130.
Cat Kuno
Kater Kuno (English Peg Leg Pete ) is another cousin of Kater Karlo. Like his cousin, he is prone to crime and is therefore also hunted by Micky. You can recognize him by his wooden leg (from English: Peg Leg literally means wooden leg), in which there is often a file or a suitable key to break out of a prison. The cat Kuno only appears in LTB No. 2. In the original version it is none other than Kater Karlo himself. The name was only changed to “Kater Kuno” because the wooden-legged version of “Kater Karlo” was still quite unknown in German-speaking countries at the time.
Kat Nipp
Kat Nipp (also Kat Nipp ) is also a hangover. He is tall, has a conspicuous bulge, wears a top hat or slouch hat and vest, and not infrequently he smokes a cigar. His character is seedy and gruff, and he has a particular dislike for Mickey Mouse. Kat Nipp appears in only three black-and-white cartoons from 1929: The Opry House , When the Cat's Away and The Karnival Kid . For the time being, he appears for the very last time as a cartoon character in a newspaper comic from 1933. The short story is titled Mickey Mouse vs. Kat Nipp . In this story, Kat and Micky clash because the mouse is constantly roaming around the cat's property and Kat especially doesn't want Micky around him. After these comics, Kat Nipp appeared very rarely, mostly as a seedy drifter and petty crook.
Schnauz
Schnauz (English Scuttle ) is a sidekick of the tomcat Karlo and often helps him with various criminal activities. It first appeared in a story in 1951 and was penned by Paul Murry . Some stories suggest that Schnauz secretly adores Klarabella Kuh .
The black phantom
The Black Phantom (English The Phantom Blot in German also as Ink Phantom ) is an enemy of Mickey Mouse , who of course cannot win, but can usually at least escape. Under the black cloak of the phantom is the crook flat nose , as can be seen in Hunt for the "Phantom" ( Mickey Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot , text: Merril de Maris) 1939 and in LTB No. 62. Furthermore, in a newer LTB Mickey Mouse and the Black Phantom experience a story in a kind of parallel duck house. Every citizen of Entenhausen is exactly the opposite of his normal personality. In this story, the black phantom from the parallel city of Duckburg is exposed and it is revealed that it is Goofy (a millionaire in that universe). However, the Black Phantom notes, pointing to Goofy's clumsiness, that it could hardly be Goofy. In LTB No. 239 in the story of Commissioner Issel's long night , a flat nose is stuck under his cape again. Incidentally, there you also learn that the phantom is a passionate painter .
The character was created by Floyd Gottfredson in 1939 and made her first appearance - together with Commissioner Hunter (Chief O'Hara) - on the newspaper strip Mickey Mouse and the Hunt for the Phantom (YM 039). In addition to its black cloak, the Phantom was noticeable at its premiere for its screwed-up language and the inability to see someone die, which is why it tried several times unsuccessfully to eliminate Micky with the help of sophisticated death traps instead of laying hands on him. Finally, captured and unmasked by Micky, the flat-nose figure appeared under the hood.
The phantom's motto is: "If you do something to me, be on your guard!"
Mortimer
Mortimer (also Moritz or Ratzo ; English Montmorency Rodent ) was in earlier times and is a competitor of Mickey Mouse in new productions. Usually it's about relaxing Mickey Minnie. He is a rat after Floyd Gottfredson, who also introduced him.
According to Gottfredson, he's a millionaire driver. While he is away, he uses his clothes and his car and acts as a con man.
Balduin bag cutter
Balduin Beutelschneider (formerly mistakenly Kurt Kropp ; English Sylvester Shyster ) is a criminal lawyer and partner of Kater Karlo . He was the first figure, the extra for Disney - Comics was created and was designed by Walt Disney introduced himself. His first appearance was in Mickey Mouse in Death Valley in 1930 . Until 1934 he formed a firm duo with the cat Karlo, in which he was the brain and Karlo the man for the rough. In 1941 he disappeared from the comic strips. It was not picked up again in Italy until 1961. He experienced a revival in the 90s and has performed more often since then. For years he was equated with Eli Squinch , which is why both were translated with Kurt Kropp .
Bag cutter is an image of the then Mickey artist Win Smith .
Kurt Kropp
Kurt Kropp ( Eli Squinch ) is an opponent of Mickey Mouse . He made his first appearance in 1934, where he tried to steal an elephant . In 1935 he allied himself with the cat Karlo for the first time . After Floyd Gottfredson drew him a. a. still Giovan Battista Carpi and César Ferioli .
Dr. Krantz
Dr. Krantz (Italian: Kranz ) is Indiana Goof's opponent and like him an archaeologist, a little glasses wearer, hair color depending on the comic going from blonde to red, brown to white. He often uses criminal methods to achieve his goal, which is why he is constantly at odds with Indiana Goof and usually loses out.
Krantz is a master of disguise and often accompanies Indianas, e.g. B. Mickey Mouse. Krantz and Indiana used to be colleagues until the former let themselves be led astray by greed for profit.
jade
Jade (Italian: Giada ) is Indiana Goof's great love . Nothing would stand in the way of a wedding except the fact that Jade is actually a fairy . And they are prohibited from marrying. Under these circumstances, both must constantly separate, as fairies are only allowed to stay on earth for a certain time . As a fairy you also have the ability to live longer than humans, which is why Jade is over 400 years old. She made her debut in 1995 under Bruno Sarda and Roberto Vian .
Dwarf plum
Dwarf plum (Engl. Idgit The Midgit ) is a crook from Duckburg . He is not particularly tall, has bushy eyebrows and a dark fringe of hair. He always wears a black bowler hat. His accomplices are often the tomcat Karlo , Schnauz or the dangerous Gregor.
The dangerous Gregor
The Dangerous Gregor (or The Grim Gregor ; English Dangerous Dan McBoo ) is a criminal. He mostly works with dwarf plum. Its large, twisted schnauzer is striking . Gregor likes the color pink. When he works with Zwerg Zwetschge, he is usually the "tough guy".
Wombat
When Uncle Wombat (Engl. Uncle Wombat ) is an uncle Goofy, focused on inventing strange equipment. He believes himself to be a genius, although there is usually something wrong with his inventions. This is how it went with his first appearance, where he accidentally sends Micky through time. Apparently the character was so distinctive that after making several appearances in American comics during the 50s, it was also established in Italy. The weird inventor was first used in 1951 under Floyd Gottfredson and Bill Walsh .
Rudi Rohrbruch
Rudi Rohrbruch (English Joe Piper ) is a criminal plumber and leader of the plumber gang. He had his first appearance in 1938 with Floyd Gottfredson. Mickey Mouse and Inspector Issel want to prove Rohrbruch's guilt by smuggling Micky in as an intern. Over time, the broken pipe has forgiven Micky. Rudi's biggest opponent in the plumbing business is the grim Ebenezer Higglesby . Meanwhile, Rohrbruch is no longer really known in Germany , while it still performs in Italy. Rohrbruch has received many translations over time: Beppo Rohr , Nikodemus Nippel (LTB 16), Elektro-Egon (LTB 84), Schnucki Schieber (Mickyvision 02/1975), Rudolph Rohrmeier (LTB 63), Theo Tropfhahn (DD 353) and Josef Gulli (DD 4).
Captain Orang
Captain Orang (also Admiral X ; English Doctor Vulter ) is an intelligent villain. He is a pirate captain and scientist , alluded to Jules Verne's captain Nemo . With a huge ship he steals other boats in order to rule the world. His ship emits magnetic rays that he uses as a magnet . He keeps all his plans in mind and does not write them down. His originally German name, uniform and monocle as well as the pursuit of world domination make him an image of the Nazis of that time . He first appeared in Mickey Mouse and the Pirate Submarine in 1935 under Floyd Gottfredson.
Professors Ecks, Duplex and Triplex
The professors Ecks, duplex and triplex (Engl. Professor Eck, Douplex and Triplex ) are a trio of criminals. The brothers were only used once by Gottfredson at Blaggard Castle , but were distinctive enough to be picked up again later by European authors. In the 90s, Ecks and Duplex were featured as a two-headed monster in Mickey Mouse Adventures named Dr. Doublecross shown. One story explains that Ecks and Duplex were hypnotized, got good, and helped Micky with inventions until Mack and Muck pelted them with water bombs at a picnic and the hypnosis was lifted.
Superjux
Schorschi Schabernack , better known as Superjux (Italian Vito Doppioscherzo ) is a villain who deceitfully leads people with the help of joke articles. He used to be Mickey's schoolmate , but was kicked out of school because of his bad jokes and pranks and swore revenge . He made his first appearance in 2004 under the popular Mickey Mouse author and illustrator Casty .
Hicksi
Hicksi (full name Walburga Hicksomera ; English Witch Hazel ) is a particularly lovable and good-natured witch. With her character, she is actually a counterpart to Gundel Gaukeley. She constantly tries to convince Goofy that she is indeed a witch, so far without success, as Goofy does not believe in witches and sorcery (but only in stories with Hicksi). As one learns in the Donald Duck notebooks, she has made a name for herself in witch circles for being able to convince “mortals” of magic, which is why she often describes Goofy as her “only failure”. Since she has no bad intentions, she often clashes with her "head witch". In LTB 11 you learn that she is an enthusiastic participant in the “Witches' Sabbath”, a kind of Walpurgis Night that is held on the moon. In English it is called Witch Hazel or Hazel the Witch .
Beelzebub
Beelzebub (also Urian ) is Hicksi's broom. He leads a life of his own and helps or annoys Hicksi. Beelzebub lacks the ability to speak. He made his first appearance in LTB 11.
Captain Kirchmaus
Captain Nathaniel Kirchmaus (English Captain Churchmouse ) is a friend of Mickey Mouse . He is the image of a typical sailor, with a pipe and a blue and white uniform. He has a wife named Frauenkirch mouse (Engl. Mrs. Church Mouse ) and a monkey named Bombo (Engl. Bombo The Gorilla ). His first appearance was in Mickey Mouse Sails for Treasure .
Schorschel Schräuble
Schorschel Schräuble (also Köppke ; Gloomy the Mechanic ) is a mechanic and friend of Mickey Mouse. His first appearance was in 1932 in The Mail Pilot , in which he was hired as an aircraft repairer. Here he also teaches Mickey how to fly, the dangers involved and how an airplane is assembled. Schorschel's character is the opposite of Mickey. While the latter is adventurous, Schorschel is very pessimistic about adventure. In 1935 he played a more active role in Mickey and the Pirate Submarine . He's building a mixture of a boat and an airplane called a submarplane for Micky . He may not be the most exciting character, but he is still popular with Mickey fans because he has starred in the best stories. Schorschel was created by Floyd Gottfredson.
Captain Doberman
Käpt'n Doberman (English Captain or Colonel Doberman ) is a captain of the Air Force . He made his first appearance, like Schorschel, in The Mail Pilot under Floyd Gottfredson. There he trains Mickey to fly. After Micky found out the reason for the disappearance of the planes and the cat Karlo and Balduin Beutelschneider were arrested, he was appointed head of the secret service. When Käpt'n Kirchmaus and Micky are captured by the cat Karlo and Balduin Beutelschneider on their ship, Dobermann builds an airship for them, with which they ultimately escape. He is also involved in the construction of Schorschel's Submarplane . Dobermann was the one who introduced Mickey and Professor Wunderlich to each other. Since Mickey Mouse: The Ghost Town Airport he has been referred to as a Colonel and becomes the director of the secret service.
Maxi Smart
Maxi Smart is the name of two different birds in German. The older is called in the English original Ellsworth and appeared for the first time in 1949 on a newspaper strip by Bill Walsh and Manuel Gonzales . In German he was sometimes called Moses (as in LTB 178). The younger bird is called in the Italian original Bruto (also: Gancetto ), is the adopted son of the older one and first appeared in 1975 in the story Smart and Son of Romano Scarpa . In LTB 130 and 534 he is called Bruno .
Betty
Aunt Betty ( Aunt Tessie ) is Goofy's aunt , who was introduced in 1976 by Ed Nofziger and Owen Fitzgerald . It is very close to the Goofs family tradition: it is the most overwhelming of them all. Betty is considered optimistic, extravagant and unpredictable. These properties are so extreme that even Goofy thinks they're crazy. She actually lives outside of Duckburg and comes to visit Goofy every now and then with the help of a tuned scooter.
Peter and Paul
Peter and Paul (ital. Pierino and Pieretto ) are the naughty nephews of Karlos with criminal ulterior motives. This inherited character trait was already seen at their first appearance in 1991: there Karlo cannot take care of them because of a visit behind bars, which is why they are exposed to Micky, who then has to deal with the pests. The two were created by Carlo Panaro and Corrado Mastantuono .
Maximilian Mouse
Uncle Maximilian (ital. Zio Jeremy ) is Mickey's uncle, but he is controlled by criminal thoughts, which is why Micky tries to move him to the side of law and order. He lives with his boat and parrot in Entenhausen Harbor , where he prefers to live off dishonest business. So there are always arguments between him and his nephew.
Maximilian is (probably) Linda's brother . Overall, he is the “gray” sheep of the family, as he is the only one who lives from dirty business. But despite all the difficulties of the two, Maximilian and Micky love each other anyway and he would risk everything if his nephew was in danger.
The poetic spy
The poetic spy (English. The Rhyming Man ) is a spy and opponent of Mickey, who only converses in rhymes . This gimmick is a nod to the typical foreign James Bond villains, who mostly speak in an absurd accent . It was invented by Floyd Gottfredson, but then had appearances in Italy, a. a. at Casty .
Zenobia
Zenobia II. (Ital. Also Zenobia ) is an African queen and lover of Goofy. She had her first appearance in 1983 under Romano Scarpa . Here she tries dishonest methods to make Goofy her husband. Mickey and Maxi can then thwart their plan. In a story from 1984 she leaves the throne and hangs the crown on the nail in order to Entenhausen draw. There she is kidnapped by the cat Karlo , Trudi and Kralle. Ultimately, she is saved by Micky, Goofy and Maxi. In 1985 she tried her hand at acting in a Shakespeare play . In another story, Zenobia has a girlfriend in Paris . In 2013 it was used again after a long time by Enrico Faccini .
Patrizia and Percy
The friend Minnies and her lover, Patrizia and Percy (English Patricia and Percy Pigg ) fell into oblivion over time, but were there from the start: Floyd Gottfredson Patrizia used it as early as 1930 (and Percy a year later) first time. Ultimately, however, she takes on more or less the same role as Klarabella . Percy is far more unknown. So he is actually only used as a background figure. In short, both are actually just "phantom characters" with no real story or character.
Iota
Jota (Italian: Zombi Baturzo ) is an alien friend of Mickey, who was created by Luciano Gatto and Guido Martina . It can become invisible , emit infrared rays, and recognize fingerprints by nibbling on the object. Iota can live on iron alone . His head resembles an anvil and he wears tights . He made his first appearance in 1977.
Samuel cobweb
Samuel cobwebs (ital. Nataniele Ragnatele ) is a Duckburg Antiquat and historians , the Mickey and Atömchen helps frequently on their adventures. He usually wears glasses that are so thick that you can't even see his eyes . The cobweb was invented by Romano Scarpa in 1959 .
March hare
The March Hare (ital. Pacuvio ) is a rabbit that accompanies Micky and Goofy into surreal worlds. He has a magic brush that gives him this property. So he draws the desired, imaginative landscape in one place (e.g. the street or a wall) and then simply jumps into it. He is one of the few characters who can break the fourth wall . He and Goofy are good friends, while Micky still struggles to believe in his existence. Märzhase performed for the first time under Luciano Gatto and Fabio Michelini .
Grooby
Grooby (Italian Pappo ) is Goofy's brother, created by Romano Scarpa. It can even be assumed that these are twins, since Grooby's first appearance shows a picture from the childhood of the two, on which the two cannot be distinguished.
Grooby left Duckburg without notice and retired to Kenya . The whole thing only because he doesn't like coconuts and there are plenty of them in his hometown. With that tribe of natives, with whom he arrived at that time, he was regarded as powerful and made their ruler. But contrary to the expectations of Goofy and Mickey, he does not live in that tribe in a typical hut, but in a villa with a cinema, refrigerators and luxury cars corresponding to the western lifestyle. He receives this standard of living through trade with the USA by offering his trading partners rare minerals located around the area of the tribe in exchange for any luxury goods. Despite the prosperity, he occasionally retreats to a cave in the jungle, where he and monkeys lead the life of a primate. But if he is fed up with this life of deprivation, he usually simply returns to his villa. He also walks around in a loincloth all the time and is otherwise completely naked.
The first and only time he appeared on LTB 74 in a story from 1957. Contrary to the original version, it is claimed there that Grooby is Goofy's cousin and not his brother.
Toby Tortoise
Tobias the turtle appears in the Ward Kimball films The Tortoise and the Hare (1935) and Toby Tortoise Returns (1936). The British Disney illustrator Wilfried Haughton drew, among other things, stories in which Toby shares a detective agency with Goofy.
Duckburg Forest
Whether the forest in which the Wolf family and the little pigs live really belongs to Duckburg is controversial. For the sake of completeness, the figures are mentioned here.
The three Little Pigs
The three little pigs (English. Three Little Pigs ) came back and again in the early numbers of the LTBs and Mickey Mouse magazine before. Two pigs, Fiddler and Pfeiffer (English Fiddler and Piper ) wear sailor suits, the third, Schweinchen Schlau (English The Practical Pig ), a boiler suit and a blue cap. They are hunted by Ede Wolf, but every attempt to eat the little pigs fails because his son Little Wolf supports the pigs and always warns them about his father.
Ede Wolf
Ede Wolf ( Zeke Wolf or The Big Bad Wolf ) used to appear in both Mickey Mouse magazine and LTBs, but has been used rarely since the mid-1990s. In most of the stories he is on the hunt for the three little pigs, in a few other stories he tries other minor rip-offs or tries to raise his son Little Wolf to be a bad wolf. All of his attempts end in a fiasco and Ede is usually more or less violently injured, often by Godfather Bear. Because his son warns the pigs about him or frees them after his father has successfully caught them. This is based on the story The Three Little Pigs .
Little Wolf
Little Wolf (English Li'l Bad Wolf , in Great Britain Li'l Wolf ) is the son of Ede Wolf and the best friend of the three little pigs. He warns them every time before his father tries to eat them; therefore, in the versions of Fuchs , he is often referred to by his father as "virtuoso". Since they are always warned in good time, his father never succeeds in catching them; rather, he often returns home from an unsuccessful hunt with an injury. A modernized version of the little wolf was then used in the early 1990s. Unlike in the past, he doesn't wear dungarees and a hat, but jeans, sneakers and a T-shirt.
Godfather bear
Godfather Bear is a big bear with brown fur. He wears a hat and usually has a heavy club with him. His character is very different in the stories. Sometimes he is described as good-natured, sometimes as a ruthless hunter. He is friends with Gevatter Fuchs and mostly Ede Wolf is his beating victim, but now and then also Gevatter Fuchs. He is also the owner of a small general store.
Godfather Fox
Gevatter Fuchs is a fox who is friends with both Ede Wolf and Gevatter Bär. Like Ede Wolf, he is a member of the Bad Boys Club. Together with Gevatter Bär he hunts Hansi Hase.
Indians
In addition, an Indian tribe lives in the forest by a lake.
Klein Adlerauge (English Little Hiawatha ) is an Indian boy and son of the chief Groß-Adlerauge . Furthermore there is his sister Silver Snake , who is also part of the tribe.
All of the characters appeared almost exclusively in the first issues of Mickey Mouse . At that time they spoke with a screwed-up, clichéd accent, from which a relatively poor grammar emerged : " Silver snakes go to the lake, catch fish ".
Naming of the figures
The first letters of the first and last names (if any) of most of the characters who are closely related to Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are identical. B .: M icky M aus, D onald D uck, G ustav G ans, G undel G aukeley, Z acharias Z orngiebel, D aniel D üsentrieb, K arl K atermann or K ater K arlo etc.
By means of these alliterations ( alliterations ) a better memorization of the figures is effected. The surnames usually denote the genus of the animal figures or their special characteristics.
