DuckTales is an American animated series that is a reboot of the series DuckTales - News from Duckburg and is loosely based on the Uncle Dagobert comics by Carl Barks and partly also Don Rosa .

action

Dagobert Duck, the richest duck in the world, travels tick, trick and track across the world with his nephew Donald and his great-nephew in search of treasure to increase his fortune. On these trips, the Duck family experiences a lot of adventures and has to face villains like Mac Moneysac, Gundel Gaukeley, Dijon, Grandma Knack and their tank crackers.

Production and broadcast

The series was officially announced in February 2015, and in July 2016 the first broadcast was set for the summer of 2017. In March 2017, the series was extended for a second season. The first broadcast date in the USA was announced on August 12, 2017, when the one-hour pilot film entitled Woo-oo! is to be broadcast several times on the American Disney XD channel from midnight within a period of 24 hours . The regular broadcast has been taking place since September 23, 2017, with two episodes being broadcast in the first week. The series is broadcast in 34 languages on a total of 162 Disney Channel and Disney XD stations.

A third season planned for 2019 was announced a month before the start of the second season.

According to DuckTales producer Frank Angones, the order of the airing is very different from the order of action that was set before it was first aired. The order of production corresponds to the order of action.

The English theme music could be heard on the German pay TV first broadcast on Disney XD since December 22, 2017, but for the German free TV broadcast on the Disney Channel planned from late summer 2018 , a German intro song was sung by the German singer Mark Forster and some fans who were able to audition for it. While the song sung in English took over the lyrics of the original series , the German lyrics were rewritten by Forster. This is associated with the error in the text in the old theme music : the characters Pluto and Goofy are mentioned in the old German song , although they were not part of the DuckTales series.

synchronization

The synchronization of the series is done at SDI Media Germany based on a dialogue book by Marie-Luise Schramm under the dialogue direction by Patrick Baehr and Schramm. Marc Mueller writes the lyrics and Michael Ernst is the musical director of the German version.
