Judith Steinhäuser

Judith Steinhäuser (* 1965 , according to other sources 1968 , in East Berlin ) is a German actress , cabaret artist and voice actress .

Life

At the age of six, Judith Steinhäuser became a member of the gifted singing class of the Komische Oper Berlin . There she worked as a child and adolescent in over 30 operas, operettas and musicals. She was u. a. the 1st elf in Britten's Midsummer Night's Dream and Tevje's daughter Sprinthze in The Fiddler on the Roof . From 1984 to 1988 she completed her acting training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . She finished her studies as a "graduate actress".

She then had numerous theater engagements, including a. at the Berliner Ensemble (1985–1988), at the Dresden State Operetta (1985), at the Renitenztheater Stuttgart (1985) and at the Maxim Gorki Theater (1986–1988). In 1988 and 1989 she made guest appearances as an actress and cabaret artist at the "Kabarett Obelisk" in Potsdam .

After the " turn " Steinhäuser u. a. 1990 on a theater tour with the Euro-Studio Landgraf , played under the direction of Wolfgang Spier at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm (1991) and made guest appearances for several years with the Lach- und Schießgesellschaft .

Steinhäuser has been a guest at the "Theatersommer Netzeband" in Brandenburg several times since 2005 . In 2012 she played Mephisto in Faust I and II , and in 2013 she played the air spirit Ariel in Shakespeare's late work The Tempest ; In 2015 she was the title character in Richard III. From 2005 she was also regularly on the road with the Euro-Studio Landgraf, for example as a patient in Der Zauberberg and as the aging vaudeville artist Guste Kiepert in Der Blaue Engel .

In 2016 she appeared in the musical Spatz & Engel at the "Seefestival Wustrau" . In October 2017 she was a guest at the Tiyatrom , the Turkish Theater in Berlin-Kreuzberg , in the world premiere of the play Shalom-Salam-woin? , a production of the German-Jewish Theater.

Steinhäuser has been in front of the camera in various cinema and television productions since the late nineties, mostly in supporting roles. In the TV film Ein Job (1998) by director Christian Görlitz she was the buxom Russian Raisa Gnedenko at the side of Erika Skrotzki and Markus Graf . Lina Wendel was her film partner in the tragic comedy Silvi (2013) . In the ZDF crime thriller Kommissarin Heller: Hitzschlag (first broadcast: January 2016), she was seen alongside Karolina Lodyga as a Russian domestic help and maternal friend. In the film drama Fucking Berlin (2016) she played the “puff mother” Anja, who runs a private brothel in a Berlin prefabricated housing estate . In November 2018 Steinhäuser can be seen in the ZDF series The Specialists - In the Name of the Victims in an episode role; she played the aging prostitute Kerstin Lange, who is interviewed as a witness.

Steinhäuser also works intensively as a voice actress for movies and TV series. So far she has been heard in almost 80 synchronous roles. She lent her voice u. a. Meg Foster , Agam Darshi , Rachel House and Toks Olagundoye .

She also speaks audio books, commercials and works as an advertising actress (for ING Diba, among others ). Steinhäuser lives in Berlin, in Prenzlauer Berg .
