Ein Job is a crime comedy by the director and screenwriter Christian Görlitz from 2008. The literary film is based on the novel of the same name by the German-American writer Irene Dische . In the main role , Wiktorija Malektorowytsch embodies the contract killer Victorija, who has flown into Hamburg from the Ukraine and is supposed to commit a triple murder for the German-Russian mafia in Germany.
action
Hamburg in 2008. The contract killer Victorija, who, coming from the Ukraine, is supposed to carry out a triple murder for the German-Russian mafia, arrives by plane at Hamburg Airport. This was preceded by her escape from a prison in Russia, with which the Mafia helped her. However, her assignment does not go as planned, because the Kurd Azad, who entered Germany illegally, happens to get in the way of her project, as does the radical, anarchist and extremely adventurous Hannah, who is still very agile despite her remarkable age of 75.
Without having a clue, the two of them cause the “killer cat from Charkov”, wanted by the police all over Europe, to experience an inner change. The hit man suddenly discovers feelings within herself that she had not known before, such as compassion, security, the joy of life and, last but not least, love.
Changed by her own change of heart, Victorija has lost all interest in carrying out her murder assignment. In addition, after her change of character, she no longer sees the slightest point in killing a young woman and her two daughters, just to do her client, Bollinger, who wants to give his Russian business partner Boris a lesson, a favor. She also comes to the conclusion that the woman she is supposed to kill is planning to leave her husband anyway. This makes it easier for her to decide to let her live, because the breakup would certainly hit him worse than her sudden death.

Reviews
Tilmann P. Gangloff notes that he thinks it is a shame that ARD only made the film accessible to television viewers five years after its production. Furthermore, he complains that the broadcast only took place at nighttime. The journalist and author is of the opinion that the production would not necessarily have hit the hearts of the target group, which switches to the first at 8:15 p.m. at main time, but unfortunately at 11:30 p.m. the possible fans of this killer comedy were already in bed .
The Lexicon of International Films is of the opinion that Ein Job "[is] an interesting mixture of a garish thriller and quiet drama, in which a top-class cast also contributes to the success".
