Ashley Samantha "Ash" Jensen (born August 11, 1969 , Annan , Dumfries and Galloway ) is a Scottish actress .

life and career

Ashley Jensen studied at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh and was a member of the National Youth Theater Company .

She was best known for her roles in the British comedy television series Extras , in the US dramedy series Alles Betty! and the US sitcom Accidentally Happy . In 2005, Jensen received awards for extras at the British Comedy Awards for Top TV Comedy Actress and Best Comedy Whiz, as well as a nomination at the 2008 Emmy Awards .

Jensen was married to fellow actor Terence Beesley from January 27, 2007 until his death in 2017 , whom she met in 1999 while working at a theater. The wedding took place in Big Sur , California . Their son was born on October 20, 2009.
