Rodolfo Cimino (born October 16, 1927 in Palmanova , Friuli-Venezia Giulia , † March 31, 2012 in Mestre , Venice ) was an Italian comic author and politician ( PSI ).

Beginnings

Cimino began his career as an Inker for the cartoonist Romano Scarpa . On his advice, Cimino tried his hand at writing comics. His first story, "Icebergs at the Equator", was first published in Topolino 283. In Germany she made her debut in LTB 79 .

Structure of actions

The Ciminos stories mostly have a similar structure. Dagobert Duck embarks on a treasure hunt to increase his fortune. Then he, Donald and / or the nephews travel in strange vehicles (for example in the story "The three-toothed dragon" with a mechanical dragon) to other countries with exotic customs. Donald and Dagobert don't get along with these customs, which means that the treasure hunts fail. It can also happen that the treasures are worthless to Scrooge's opinion. Exceptions are stories from early years and the series "Princess Marbella" and "Grandma Ducks Campfire Stories".

Trivia

In a story written by Riccardo Pesce, Cimino appears as a car park attendant .
