Yehuda Gershoni

Yehuda Gershoni (born July 14, 1960 in Nazareth ) is a former cyclist from Israel and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Gershoni was six times champion in the road race in his homeland between 1980 and 1987 . In 1984 he was a professional in the French cycling team Skil (in which Sean Kelly was the captain) for a few months , but then rode again as an amateur . He started as a professional driver in the Tour de Suisse in 1984 and turned 60 there. He also took part in the UCI Road World Championships , but retired from the race. He was the first Israeli to drive as a professional in Europe .
