Yellow Matter Custard is an American Beatles tribute band that only existed for two appearances. Like a supergroup , it consisted of four members who were previously known from other bands.

Mike Portnoy , Neal Morse , Paul Gilbert and Matt Bissonette came together for the two shows on May 17th and 18th, 2003 under the name Yellow Matter Custard. The band name comes from the 1967 Beatles song I Am the Walrus : "Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye".

Mike Portnoy continued to appear as the initiator of the tribute bands Cygnus & The Sea Monsters ( Rush ) and Hammer of the Gods ( Led Zeppelin ).

A double CD and a DVD of the second concert at BB King's New York have been released.
