Yeltsin Ignacio Tejeda Valverde (born March 17, 1992 in Puerto Limón ) is a soccer player from Costa Rica . He plays for CS Herediano and the Costa Rican national soccer team . It is named after the first Russian president, Boris Yeltsin .

Club career

Tejeda started at Club CD Saprissa in 2011. On August 22, 2014, he moved to France to FC Évian Thonon Gaillard , where he signed a four-year contract. For the 2016/17 season he moved to FC Lausanne-Sport in the Swiss Super League .

After more than two years in Switzerland, he moved back to CS Herediano in January 2019 .

National team

Tejeda was accepted into Costa Rica's team for the CONCACAF U-17 championships in 2009 . In 2011 he took part in the CONCACAF U-20 championships. On December 1, 2011, he made his debut in the Costa Rican senior team. He took part in the successful qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup and drove the team to the tournament in Brazil .
