Yeniyurt is a place in the Erdemli district of the Turkish province of Mersin . Yeniyurt was a village until 2014 , since a regional reform it has been part of the Erdemli district center.

Yeniyurt is located in the south of the district in the mountainous hinterland of Erdemli, north of the Limonlu Çayı River , the ancient Lamos, which flows into the Mediterranean about 15 kilometers southeast . The distance to the county seat is about 15 kilometers, to the provincial capital Mersin 50 kilometers. From Erdemli, as well as from the coastal town of Kocahasanlı , a road leads to Güzeloluk . A side street branches off from this in Arslanlı to the west, which leads via Hüsametli to Yeniyurt.

The road from Hüsametli to Yeniyurt passes the Roman villa of Üçayaklı , about 1.5 kilometers east of Yeniyurt is the Hellenistic fortress ruin Yeniyurt Kalesi .
