Yeongdong County ( Korean : 보은군 , Yeongdong-gun ) is located in Gyeongsangnam-do Province . The administrative headquarters are in Yeongdong-eup City. The district had an area of 845 km² and a population of 49,591 inhabitants in 2019.
The Nogeun-ri massacre took place here during the Korean War .
