Yesid Alberto Aponzá Romero (born January 14, 1992 in Guachené ; † October 2, 2016 there ) was a Colombian football player .

Athletic career

Aponzá began his career in the adult area at Independiente Medellin in the Categoría Primera A . In 2012, the club awarded him to the then second division team América de Cali , where he was a regular in midfield. After his return he could not prevail, then he moved within the first division to Boyacá Chicó FC in 2014 . After a year, he moved to La Equidad in the summer of 2015 .

In October 2016, Aponzá was the victim of a traffic accident in his hometown of Guachené when he was out and about with his teammate Camilo Mancilla on a weekend without games . While Aponzá died of his injuries at the age of 24, Mancilla survived the incident without injuries.
