Yiğit Bulut

Yiğit Bulut (born January 1, 1972 in Keşan , Edirne Province ) is a Turkish journalist.

Bulut studied banking and finance at Bilkent University and the Sorbonne . Between 2001 and 2013 he worked as a columnist and financial analyst for the daily newspapers Radikal , Vatan , Referans , Habertürk and Star. He worked as editor-in-chief of the Turkish news channel Habertürk TV (2009–2012) and 24 (2012–2013).

In 2013 he was appointed one of the many “chief advisors” by the then Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan . Internationally he caused astonishment when he u. a. claimed that foreign forces were trying to kill Erdoğan by telekinesis .

Bulut was also a member of the board of directors of the Turkish state fund Türkiye Varlık Fonu until September 2018 .

His lakab is "Jöleli" ("The one with the gel").
