Yiftach Katzur (born July 17, 1958 in Israel ; also Jesse Katzur ) is an Israeli actor and management consultant.

Life

Yiftach Katzur began his career at the age of 17 in Peter Shaffer's play Equus . He had his first small film role in 1977 in the controversial political thriller The Honey Connection by Yeud Levanon . He became known as Benny in the eight-part erotic comedy popsicles . In 1979 he was an epileptic boy in Jesus - No one has moved the world like him (The Jesus Movie, 1979, John Heyman). Together with his ice- lolly colleagues Zachi Noy and Rachel Steiner, he shot the film The Ambassador with Robert Mitchum and Rock Hudson in 1984 . In 1993 he starred with Zachi Noy and Anat Atzmon in a pilot of a popsicle series entitled "Lemonade" and also directed it. The series for this was never realized. His last feature film Gentila , which was released in 1997, won the 1998 Haifa Film Festival Award for best film . In 2005, he slipped on the Israeli TV special Ha-Secret Shelanu in a short film for the last time in the role of Benny from popsicles . In 2011 he starred in the Israeli sitcom Naor's Friends . In 2015 he was also seen in an episode role as David on the Israeli Disney Channel television series Disney's North Star .

Katzur has also been an entrepreneur in Israel since the 1990s. From 1990 to 2001 he ran a marketing agency, from 2002 to 2009 an investment fund for the Israeli film industry, and is currently (as of 2018) the management consultancy he founded, Katzur Strategies .

In July 2012 he became the patron of the play Lovers Boys , which is based on the popsicle film series . Katzur took part in the German documentary Eskimo Limon. Popsicle - Of Winners and Losers by Eric Friedler , which is dedicated to the same series of films and premiered in 2018.

Katzur is divorced and has a son and a daughter.
