Yngve Hilmer Casslind (born June 28, 1932 in Södertälje , † September 17, 1992 in Umeå ) was a Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Yngve Casslind began his career as an ice hockey player at IK Göta , for whose professional team he was active from 1951 to 1957 in Division 1 , the then top Swedish league. The goalkeeper then spent four years at league rivals Skellefteå AIK , where he ended his career in 1961 at the age of 29.

International

For Sweden , Casslind took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo . He was also in his country's squad at the 1957 World Cup , where he won the gold medal with his team. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions.
