Yochelson Ridge is a rugged, partly snow-covered and 5.5 km long mountain ridge in the Ellsworth Mountains of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It extends from Eley Peak in the Soholt Peaks of the Heritage Range in a north-northwest direction.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Ellis Leon Yochelson (1928-2006), geologist with the USGS at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC , who worked as a paleontologist as part of the United States Antarctic Program from 1979 to 1980 on an expedition to the Ellsworth Mountains .
