You Wenhui ( Chinese  尤 文 慧 ; born October 20, 1979 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese beach volleyball player .

Career

You Wenhui played her first open tournament on the FIVB World Tour with Xu Yun in Dalian in 2000 . The following year she competed with Pan Wang Ye at the Macau and Osaka Open. In 2002 she formed a duo with Wang Lu . They finished ninth when they performed together for the first time in Osaka. In 2003 they were able to repeat this result at the Grand Slams in Berlin , Marseille and Klagenfurt . At the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro they reached the first knockout round, in which they defeated the Mexicans Gaxiola / García , in second place behind the eventual tournament winners Walsh / May from the USA . In the round of 16 they were finally defeated in a tiebreak against the defending champions Adriana Behar and Shelda Bede from Brazil. In 2004, You Wenhui and Wang Lu finished ninth at the Fortaleza Open and fourth in Shanghai. They also qualified for the Athens Olympics . There they lost their first game against the German duo Pohl / Rau and remained without a win in the other two games, so that they were eliminated as the bottom of the group in the preliminary round. In 2005, You Wenhui played two more open tournaments with Xue Chen .
