Yu Jim-Yuen

Yu Jim-Yuen , also: Yu Chan-Yuan, ( Chinese  于 占 元 , Pinyin Yú Zhànyuán , Jyutping Jyu 4 Zim 1 jyun 4 ; * September 5, 1905 , † September 8, 1997 in Los Angeles ) was the head of the Beijing people Theater and acting school in Hong Kong , in which actors such as Jackie Chan (Yuen Lou) , Sammo Hung (Yuen Lung) , Yuen Biao , Yuen Tai , Yuen Wah , Corey Yuen (Yuen Kwai) and Yu So Chow (Yuen Mo) received their hard traditional training in Chinese opera in terms of singing, acrobatics (e.g. Kung Fu ) and acting. In their youth, these seven personalities formed the core of the well-known drama troupe The Seven Little Fortunes or The Lucky Seven ( 七 小 福 , Qī Xiǎofú , Jyutping Cat 1 Siu 2 fuk 1 ) and were in the opera and theater circles of the 1960s Hong Kong known and dissolved in the early 1970s due to a lack of orders. Yu Jim-Yuen then sought his fortune in the USA and took part in the 1980 film The Old Master ( 師父 出馬  /  师父 出马 ) in the role of Wen Ren-yang .

Yu Jim Yuen died of a heart attack in Los Angeles in 1997.
