Yu Rongguang

Yu Rongguang (* 1958 in Beijing ) is a Chinese actor and stuntman who has gained greater fame since the 1990s, particularly through his film Iron Monkey , and who has also appeared in internationally known films.

Career

Rongguang first went to the Peking Opera School to learn opera singing. His acting career began in 1985 with the film Mu mien jia sha , which did not receive a German title. From the 1990s he was also seen in films dubbed in non-Asian countries, such as The Emperor's Warrior in 1990 , which became his first major career breakthrough. His appearance, big eyes and darker skin, also attracted the interest of several film directors from China. In 1991 Rongguang got his first role as a stuntman in Lian shou jing tan . A well-known film from his early days as an actor is Iron Monkey , for which he starred under the same name.

From the turn of the millennium Rongguang was increasingly seen in internationally popular films, such as 2000 in Shang-High Noon or Musa - The Warrior from 2001. For the new edition of Karate Kid from 1984, which was also published in Germany under the title Karate Kid started, he took on the role of Master Li.
