Yubert Lemos Morais (born June 12, 1962 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Midfielder Yubert Lemos was in 1985 with the Colombian club Independiente Medellín under contract. He then belonged to the squad of the Montevideo-based Uruguayan club Nacional from 1988 to 1992 . With the Bolsos he won the Copa Libertadores in 1988 , where he was on the starting line-up in both final games against the Newell's Old Boys . In the subsequent World Cup final on December 11, 1988 in Tokyo against PSV Eindhoven, he was also involved from the start. In the following year, his club won the Copa Interamericana and the Recopa Sudamericana . In the associated finals, however, he did not actively participate in the competition. He later participated in winning the Uruguayan championship title in 1992.

National team

In 1981 he took part with the Uruguayan junior national team in the 1981 World Youth Championship . He was used once during the tournament. On August 1, 1992 in the friendly game Uruguay against Costa Rica, he also completed an international match in the senior team when he came on in the 72nd minute for Éber Moas .
