Career

Ishigaki was already one of the most successful players in Japan in her youth. From 2004 she had her first international appearances at youth world championships. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 she won bronze in doubles, as well as silver with the team in 2004 and 2006.

In 2010 she had other appearances, including at the Japan Open, where she won gold in doubles, and at the Egypt Open . Due to strong Japanese competition, including Kasumi Ishikawa and Ai Fukuhara , she was rarely seen on the international stage.

In 2014 she won silver with the team at the World Cup , in the final the Japanese team lost to China . With further good performances, the Japanese qualified for the Grand Finals , where she had to throw in the towel in the second round.

In 2015 she reached 3rd place with her team at the World Team Cup. 2016 was a relatively successful year for Ishigaki: Among other things, she won the Bulgaria Open and was able to qualify for the Grand Finals again, but was eliminated again in the round of 16.
