Yurikuma Arashi ( Japanese ユ リ 熊 嵐 ), also Love Bullet → Yurikuma Arashi , is an anime series from 2015, which was also adapted as a manga . He's to Utena. Revolutionary Girl and Mawaru Penguindrum the third anime by Kunihiko Ikuhara , who also wrote and directed the series script, and shares with them a surreal, allegorical plot in shōjo aesthetics.

The title translates as " Yuri Bear Storm", where Yuri is the Japanese name of the lily , as well as a genre name for works that deal with love between girls.

action

One day the asteroid Kumalia exploded near Earth. When its fragments fell to the earth, the bears suddenly rose and began to attack people. Thereupon the people erected the huge "wall of extinction" ( 断絶 の 壁 , danzetsu no kabe ) to separate both species.

The scene of the action is the "Storm Heights School" ( 嵐 が 丘 学園 , Arashigaoka Gakuen ) where the two bears Ginko Yurishiro ( 百合 城 銀子 ) and Lulu Yurigasaki ( 百合 ヶ 咲 る る ), disguised as humans, sneak in to devour the students. There, the student Kureha Tsubaki ( 椿 輝 紅 羽 ), who is in a secret relationship with her classmate Sumika Izumino ( 泉 乃 純 花 ) , arouses Ginko's interest. When both lily beds are being devastated, the class representative Mitsuko Yurizono ( 百合 園 蜜 子 ) offers them both to clean up this morning with them. The next day Sumika disappeared. Kureha receives a phone call that tells her if her love for Sumika is real, she has to face the bears and is attacked by Ginko and Lulu and experiences a kind of vision. In this, Ginko and Lulu have to face the "Court of Extermination" ( 断絶 の コ ー ト , danzetsu no kōto ) , consisting of the human-like bears and single male figures Judge Life Sexy ( ラ イ フ ・ セ ク シ ー , Raifu Sekushī ) , Prosecutor Life Cool ( ラ イ フ ・ク ー ル , Raifu Kūru ) and defender Life Beauty ( ラ イ フ ・ ビ ュ ー テ ィ ー , Raifu Byūtī ) , pose in a yuri trial ( ユ リ 裁判 , yuri saiban ) , where they are acquitted of their sin of having eaten a person and they are allowed to do so to feast on Kureha. Mitsuko discovers how Ginko and Lulu are eating a girl in their bear form.

When Sumika is pronounced dead the next day, it comes as a shock to Kureha. She receives another similar call where she is attacked by another bear, her classmate Konomi Yurikawa ( 百合 川 こ の み ) , who is jealous that Mitsuko is paying more attention to her. After another trial against Ginko and Lulu, Mitsuko saves them from Konomi with a shot. It turns out that Mitsuko Yurizono is also possessed by Kureha and is a bear himself.
