Yves Bescond

Yves-Marie-Henri Bescond (born May 19, 1924 in Clamart near Paris ; † August 23, 2018 ) was a French clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Meaux .

Life

After his philosophical and theological training, Yves Bescond was ordained a priest for the diocese of Versailles on June 29, 1949 . He was vicar in Montfort-l'Amaury , then in the parish of St. Johanna in Versailles. From 1961 he was named chaplain of the general education schools and the ACGF, now Catholic Action of Women (Action Catholique des Femmes). In 1964 he became vicar general of the diocese of Versailles and at the same time chaplain for public education. He was also archdeacon of the parish of Our Lady of Versailles.

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 26, 1971 titular bishop of Aquae Thibilitanae and auxiliary bishop in Corbeil . The Bishop of Versailles , Louis Simonneaux , donated him episcopal ordination on March 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Albert Malbois , Bishop of Corbeil and Robert Frossard , Auxiliary Bishop in Paris . He was also appointed Episcopal Vicar for Christian Youth.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Meaux on July 12, 1979. John Paul II accepted his early resignation on October 20, 1986.
