Yves Devillechabrolle (born February 10, 1957 in Mourioux-Vieilleville , Département Creuse ) is a former French football player .

Career

Devillechabrolle grew up in the Limousin and played there for lower class clubs before signing in 1980 with the nearby second division UES Montmorillon . In a team that, despite being in the second-highest French division, had no professional status, he became a regular player and scored eight times during his first season at national level, but could not prevent the club from relegating. Thanks to good relationships between those in charge of Montmorillon and those of Tours FC , a move to the same club came about in the summer of 1981, with which the young striker made it to the top division.

Even if he was not consistently set as a regular player, he was next to Bernard Ferrigno one of two wingers on the team; for its speed it was nicknamed the TGV, based on the high-speed train Train à grande vitesse . He mostly appeared as a preparer for Ferrigno or the center forward Delio Onnis , but hardly scored any goals himself. 1983 Devillechabrolle had to accept not only relegation, but also witnessed the departure of Onnis, who was inherited in the role of goalscorer by Omar Da Fonseca ; in view of this, goalscoring remained a rarity for the French, even if he remained set as a regular player.

In 1986 he signed with second division rivals AS Béziers , but was given up in January 1987 to the also second-rate FC Martigues . At Martigues he played a minor role, which is why he turned his back on the club in the summer of the same year and found a second division team as an employer in CO Saint-Dizier . Although he took a regular position in this, but he had to accept in 1988 relegation to the third division. At that time, the then 31-year-old decided to end his career after 65 first division games with four goals and 158 second division games with 16 goals.
