Yves Duhoux
Yves Duhoux (* 1942 ) is a Belgian classical philologist , linguist and mycenaeologist .
Duhoux has been chef de travaux at the Université catholique de Louvain since 1989 , most recently as a professor.
Duhoux works in the field of ancient Greek linguistics . He devoted extensive studies to the Greek verb, the ancient Greek dialects and especially the Mycenaean Greek ( Linear B ). Further studies deal with the Phaistos disc , the Eteocretic and the Linear A script that has not yet been deciphered .
In 1984 he was awarded the Prix Joseph Gantrelle .
