Záruby (formerly also "Ostrý vrch"; German Scharfenstein ) is the highest mountain in the Little Carpathians . It is located between the municipalities of Smolenice (Smolenitz) and Plavecký Peter (bladder stone Sanktpeter). The European long-distance hiking trail E8 leads over the mountain .
