history

Bankhaus Daghofer , founded by Oskar Daghofer in 1885 , was renamed Privatinvest Bank AG in 1989. In 1992, 74 percent of the previously independent private bank was taken over by the Dresdner Bank subsidiary Reuschel & Co. and 26 percent by the Salzburger Sparkasse . With the takeover of Dresdner Bank by Commerzbank in 2009, Reuschel & Co., and with it the majority stake in Privatinvest Bank AG, became the property of Commerzbank.

At the end of October 2009, the complete takeover of Privatinvest Bank AG by Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) was announced. On February 1, 2010, ZKB became 100% owner of Privatinvest Bank AG and on October 19, 2011 the name was changed to Zürcher Kantonalbank Österreich AG. In international private banking, this focuses on the target markets of Germany and Austria.
