Zaharie Ahmad Shah
Zaharie Ahmad Shah (born July 31, 1961 in Penang ; officially declared dead on March 8, 2014 ) was a Malaysian pilot .
As the captain of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 , he died with it. For example, a journalist from Spiegel claimed without any evidence that he could have committed pilot suicide. According to the official investigation report, there is no evidence of this.
Life
He has been with Malaysia Airlines since 1981 and is very experienced with over 18,000 flight hours. As an examiner, he was authorized to conduct flight simulator tests for pilots. As a hobby he used to play soccer and had built a flight simulator.
