The Zaječí potok (German Kiefrich ) is a right tributary of the Bělá in the Czech Republic .
course
The Zaječí potok rises at the Kamzičí skála on the western slope of the Zaječí skok (1077 m) in the Jeseníky Mountains , Czech Republic . The stream initially flows westwards and, at the foot of the Zaječí hora ( High Urlich , 1011 m), takes a south-westerly direction. On the right side of the hilltop Borek ( pine mountain ) on a rocky slope extends the nature reserve "Borek u Domašova". The brook takes in some nameless tributaries and finally flows into the Bělá in Horní Domašov.
history
During the Second World War, one of a total of 40 prison camps in the Jeseníky region was set up in 1941 at Zaječí potok. Initially 80, but soon 100 Russians who had to do forestry work were interned here. In a typhus epidemic in Kiefrich 2 camp, 18 prisoners died that same year. In 2011 the camp's cemetery was reconstructed and turned into the Borek memorial.
