Zamarte is a Polish village in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship .
Zamarte is the third largest town in the Kamień Krajeński Municipality . It is located on the road between Chojnice and Sępólno Krajeńskie on a small hill. It has 644 inhabitants.
history
The place was mentioned in 1354 under the name Jacobsdorf as a manor.
The monastery was built between 1752 and 1775. On July 9, 1780, the Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary was consecrated by Fabian Franciszek Pląskowski . In 1826 the associated monastery was closed. From 1842 retired priests were housed in the building.
After the partition of Poland, the place was called Bonstetten after 1909 and during the German occupation.
Between 1975 and 1998 the village belonged to the Bydgoszcz Voivodeship .
On July 1, 1994, the monastery was handed over to the Warsaw Province of the Discalced Carmelites . Her novitiate has been here since December 19, 1994 . It has been a priory since 1999.
