Zankenhausen is a district of the municipality of Türkenfeld in the Upper Bavarian district of Fürstenfeldbruck . The formerly independent municipality of Zankenhausen with the districts of Peutenmühle and Pleitmannswang was incorporated into the municipality of Türkenfeld on January 1, 1972.

Zankenhausen lies on a plateau between the Garnbach in the south, the Hölbach in the north, the Gollenberg in the west and the northern Ampermoos in the east.

The parish village is about two kilometers east of Türkenfeld.

history

The place name indicates slash and burn, the scorching . The Benediktbeuern monastery had possessions here as early as the 10th century. From 1506 the place is mentioned as Hofmark , it went to the Jesuits of Landsberg in 1596.

During the War of the Spanish Succession , the place was burned down except for the parish church of St. Johann Baptist.

The community of Zankenhausen had 235 inhabitants in 1933 and 210 inhabitants in 1939.
