Geiselbullach is a church village and part of the municipality of Olching ( Fürstenfeldbruck district ) in Bavaria . The former community was incorporated into Olching in 1978 with the associated village Graßlfing.

history

Bavaria's Elector Max Emanuel left a large area in the corridor at "Buelach" (probably a beech forest) near the Amper to his court chamber councilor Johann Adam Geisler in 1724 for cultivation and also awarded him the title of nobility "von Geiselbullach". Geisler built a castle there with a fenced-in park, a large chapel in honor of St. John Nepomuk and houses for dependent "Gütlers" and craftsmen. In 1818 the municipality Geiselbullach was founded by the Bavarian municipal edict, to which the village Graßlfing also belonged. Although the merger with Olching in Geiselbullach and the neighboring Esting met with little approval from the residents, it was completed on May 1, 1978. Olching was cited in 2011. New buildings in Schwaigfeld (Graßlfing district) have increased the number of inhabitants in Olching in recent years. As of January 1, 2019, Geiselbullach 2001 and Graßlfing had 4,761 inhabitants.
