Zbigniew Płatek

Zbigniew Płatek (born July 31, 1959 in Szczecin ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Płatek won the bronze medal in the tandem race at the UCI World Railroad Championships in Brno in 1981 when Ivan Kučírek and Pavel Martínek won . His partner on the tandem was Ryszard Konkolewski . He also competed in the sprint , where he was eliminated in the round of 16. Also in 1982 and 1983 he competed in both disciplines at the World Championships. He won the national title in the tandem race three times: 1981 and 1985 with Ryszard Konkolewski, 1985 with Andrzej Michalak . He started for the Gryf Szczecin club .
