The Zebrzydowski Chapel is one of the 19 chapels that surround the Kraków Cathedral . It is consecrated to Cosmas and Damian and is located in the north ambulatory .

history

The chapel was built in the Mannerist style of Jan Michałowicz for Bishop Andrzej Zebrzydowski from 1335 between 1562 and 1563 instead of a Gothic chapel . The Mannerist tomb of Andrzej Zebrzydowski was created by Jan Michałowicz. In 1675 the baroque Zebrzydowski epitaph came out, u. a. for Mikołaj Zebrzydowski . The chapel was rebuilt by Sławomir Odrzywolski in the 18th century and between 1900 and 1901 . The new altar was designed by Pietro Bazzanti in Florence in 1904 . In 1919, an epitaph designed by Konstanty Laszczka for General Cezary Wojciech Haller was attached.
