Mikołaj Zebrzydowski (* 1553 in Cracow ; † June 17, 1620 in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska ) was a Polish nobleman.

From 1560 to 1569 he attended the Lyceum Hosianum in Braunsberg . From 1553 to 1620 he was Radwan , until 1589 voivode of Lublin and from 1596 to 1600 court marshal of the king and until 1601 voivode of Cracow. He took part in the war of Stephan Báthory and his Chancellor Jan Zamoyski against Moscow . He was said to have good contacts with the Vatican. At first he supported King Sigismund III. Wasa (during its interregnum ). Later he became increasingly dissatisfied with his efforts to strengthen the central royal power and to weaken the aspirations of the Polish nobility ( Szlachta ). In 1606 he organized the so-called Zebrzydowski Rebellion . In 1607 he was defeated by the royal troops at the Battle of Guzów . From then on he supported the development of the village Kalwaria Zebrzydowska . He spent the end of his life there in the Franciscan monastery .
