The Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery in Hörde - Schüren is a former hard coal mine . The mine was also known as the United Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery . The mine emerged from the consolidation of the two independent mines Zeche Landwehr and Zeche Mühlenberg. The mine was part of the Hörde mining area .
Mining history
In the period from June 19, 1854 to January 16, 1855, the Mühlenberg and Landwehr mines consolidated into the new Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. After the consolidation, the rightful area comprised four square fields . Despite this merger, the new mine did not have its own facilities. In 1858 a mining contract was signed with the Freie Vogel & Unverhofft colliery . Because this contract was the same year in the mining area of the coal mine Landwehr & Muhlenberg through the coal mine Free Vogel & unexpectedly reduced . The coals were obtained at Zeche Free Vogel & unexpectedly after about day promoted . However, the coal mined was sold by the owners of the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. The field part of Landwehr & Mühlenberg was to be dismantled from the safety pillar to the Hellenbanken main fault. In 1860 the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery went bankrupt . In 1865 the mine was put back into operation.
In 1867, the 5th level of the Freie Vogel & Unverhofft colliery was the main production level of the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. The bottom was at a depth of 226 meters. In that year 1916 tons of hard coal were mined for the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. In the following year, no funding was given. Another contract was signed on July 3, 1883; this contract only provided for dismantling in a subfield of the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. The mined coal was conveyed in shaft 1 of the Freie Vogel & Unverhofft colliery, the coal was also sold this time by the owners of the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. In the years 1893 to 1896, the owners of the Freie Vogel & Unverhofft colliery acquired the majority of the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery. In the period from October 5, 1897 to February 15, 1898, the Landwehr & Mühlenberg colliery consolidated into the Freie Vogel & Unverhofft colliery .
