The magazine for Catalan Studies ( Revista d'Estudis Catalans as subtitle) is a magazine about Catalan language and literature, which was founded in 1988 by Tilbert Dídac Stegmann and Brigitte Schlieben-Lange . It is published by the German-Catalan Society and the editorial office is in Freiburg im Breisgau . The magazine publishes articles in all Romance languages (especially in Catalan ) and also in English and German . The magazine is particularly concerned with linguistics , but with Catalan literature (e.g. a dossier on Salvador Espriu on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his death). It publishes an issue each year that can be read online.

Nowadays it is led by a six-member editorial committee ( Roger Friedlein , Johannes Kabatek, Claus D. Pusch, Gerhard Wild and Tilbert Dídac Stegmann himself). The Ramon Llull Institute supports this journal.
