Robbie Muirhead (born March 8, 1996 in Irvine ) is a Scottish football player who plays for Dunfermline Athletic .

Career

Robbie Muirhead was born in the Scottish coastal town of Irvine in 1996. He began his football career at FC Kilmarnock . On the final day of the Scottish Premier League 2012/13 , the 17-year-old Muirhead made his professional debut against FC St. Mirren when he came on for Cillian Sheridan . In the 2013/14 season he came to 21 league games and two hits. The following season he played in 20 games until January 2015 and scored two goals. On the last day of the winter transfer period, Muirhead moved to Dundee United for a fee of £ 150,000 and signed a contract until 2018. He made his debut for the Tangerines as a substitute against his previous club from Kilmarnock on February 14, 2015 when he was for the Estonian Henri Anier was substituted on. It was only in April that Muirhead was in United's starting XI against Celtic Glasgow . A week later he scored with his first goal to win 1-0 over Aberdeen FC . By the end of the season, the attacker under Jackie McNamara had 13 missions in which he scored two goals. After only being used three times at the beginning of the 2015/16 season , it was awarded to Partick Thistle from September 2015 to January 2016 . The 19-year-old scored two goals in eight games on loan before returning to Dundee. Until the end of the season he came under the new coach of United Mixu Paatelainen to no use. In April 2016, the contract with Muirhead and the already established first division relegation was terminated. He then signed a contract with Heart of Midlothian . After just six months, Muirhead moved to Milton Keynes Dons .

National team

Robbie Muirhead played for some of Scotland's junior teams from 2011 to 2014. He made his U-15 debut in May 2011 against Belgium when he came on for Liam Henderson . From August of the same year, Muirhead played three times in the U-16 . In September 2012 he also made his Scottish U-17 debut against Sweden . Two weeks after his debut, he scored the first goal for the national team against Northern Ireland . In October 2012, the striker scored a hat trick in a 5-2 win over Luxembourg . In 2013, Muirhead played once in the U-18 against Israel . A year later he played four times in the U-19 of Scotland for which he was able to score a goal against Norway .
