Liam Henderson (born April 25, 1996 in Livingston ) is a Scottish football player.

Career

Liam Henderson began his career in the youth of Heart of Midlothian . For the club from Edinburgh Henderson played until 2008, before moving to the Youth Academy of Celtic came. The midfielder played for the Bhoys in the UEFA Youth League from the 2013/14 season . Henderson made his professional debut at the age of 17 under team manager Neil Lennon in December 2013 against Motherwell FC when he came on for Scott Brown in the 84th minute . In January 2014 he extended his contract with Celtic for another three years.

In March 2015, Henderson moved to Norwegian record champions Rosenborg Trondheim on loan for three months . In August 2015, Henderson made another loan to the Scottish second division club Hibernian Edinburgh . With the Hibs, Henderson won the Scottish Cup in the final against the Glasgow Rangers. He was also a regular in Alan Stubbs' team .

After his return to Celtic Glasgow he played only eleven league games in one and a half years and, in January 2018 the Italian second division club FC Bari 1908 in the series B .

National team

Liam Henderson has played for the Scottish youth national teams since the U-15. Initially active in the U-15 in 2011, Henderson also played in the U-16, U-17 and U-19 in the following two years . Henderson made his U-21 debut in November 2015 .
