Zeki Erkılınç (born January 22, 1998 in Hengelo ) is a Dutch - Turkish football player . The midfielder is under contract with FC Gießen in Germany .
Career
Erkılınç was trained from the age of eleven at FC Twente Enschede , with the club's A-youth he took part in the Junior Eredivisie and the U19 Cup. After he was no longer eligible to play for the U19, he was awarded to Heracles Almelo to gain match experience . There he was in the Eredivisie squad, but was initially only used for the reserve team, for which he came to ten league games, in which he scored two goals and prepared. As a result, the midfielder was firmly committed by Heracles and used in another eight games in the reserve league; On the 9th matchday of the Eredivisie 2018/19 , Erkılınç came to a brief assignment in the top Dutch league.
In the summer of 2019, the midfielder moved to the second-rate Eerste Divisie for FC Dordrecht . Until the winter break he was only used five times, four of them in the starting lineup. For the second half of the season, the Dutchman signed a contract with VfB Lübeck from the fourth-tier Regionalliga Nord that was valid until the end of the season , after he had been able to convince in preparatory games against higher-class opponents. For VfB, however, Erkılınç did not play in any competitive game until the end of the 2019/20 season, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic . VfB Lübeck was declared champion and promoted to the 3rd division , whereupon he left the club when his contract ended.
For the 2020/21 season, Erkılınç moved to the Regionalliga Südwest for FC Gießen .
