Early years

In the 1970s Roth and Ule W. Ritgen founded Black Angel in Hanover and played together at the university for several years. After the band, which was influenced by Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, split in 1977, Ritgen played bass in the band of Zeno's brother Uli Jon Roth.
