Zeno Zürcher

Zeno Zürcher (born August 28, 1936 in Bern ; † March 16, 2008 ) was a Swiss primary school teacher and cultural worker .

Zürcher was a primary school teacher at the Pestalozzi School in Bern and was convinced of the ideas of reform pedagogy . In the 1950s, together with Sergius Golowin , Franz Gertsch , Niklaus von Steiger and others, he founded various "free discussion groups", including the candle circle and the Tägel-Leist . With Franz Gertsch, Ueli Baumgartner and others, Zürcher led Junkere 37 , a discussion panel at Junkerngasse 37 in Bern, popularly known as “Bern's Hyde Park Corner ”, where Theodor W. Adorno also appeared in 1966 .
