Zerka T. Moreno

Zerka T. Moreno (born June 13, 1917 in Amsterdam as Zerka Toeman ; † September 19, 2016 in Rockville , Maryland ) was an American psychotherapist and co-founder of psychodrama . She was the closest collaborator and from 1949 the wife of Jakob Levy Moreno . In 1978 she made a significant contribution to the development of humanistic psychodrama by Hans-Werner Gessmann with the demonstration of classical psychodrama at the Bergerhausen Psychotherapeutic Institute .

Zerka T. Moreno is one of the co-founders of the International Association for Group Psychotherapy .
