Zeus Ridge is a rugged, steep-walled and icy mountain ridge in the center of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It extends from Mount Français in a north-westerly direction between the Achaean Range and the Trojan Range . According to the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names it is over 1675 m high, the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gives its height at around 1250 m .
Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey conducted surveys in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957 after Zeus , the father of gods from Greek mythology .
