The Zevener Volksbank eG is a cooperative bank based in Zeven . Zevener Volksbank eG is located in the center of the Rotenburg (Wümme) district and is divided into the regions of Zeven and Sittensen.

History and mergers

Volksbank in Selsingen

On January 6, 1912, the "savings and loan fund" was founded in Selsingen and in 1974 the name was changed to "Volksbank Selsingen". "Volksbank Sittensen" and "Volksbank Selsingen" merged in 1992 in the 80th business year and the merger to form "Zevener Volksbank eG" was signed. In 2012 Volksbank celebrated its 100th birthday in Selsingen.

Volksbank in Rhade

The "Savings and Loan Fund Rhade" was founded on May 26, 1906. Over the years it was renamed "Volksbank Rhade" and merged in 2000 with "Zevener Volksbank eG".

Volksbank in Heeslingen

At the end of the 19th century, on February 16, 1881, the Volksbank was founded in Heeslingen under the name "Advance and Savings Association for the Parish of Heeslingen". Later it became the "Spar- und Kreditskasse Heeslingen" until the final merger with Nartum was decided on April 11, 1978 and it was renamed "Volksbank Heeslingen eG". In 1998 the merger with Sittensen and Zeven took place to form "Zevener Volksbank eG".

With the entry on October 26, 1937, the "Savings and Loan Fund Sittensen" was legally competent. On June 21, 1973 the name was changed to "Volksbank Sittensen eG". The mergers with the neighboring Volksbanken Zeven (1988), Selsingen (1992), Heeslingen (1998) and Rhade (2000) led to the current name "Zevener Volksbank eG". In 2012 Volksbank celebrated its 75th birthday in Sittensen.

Volksbank in Nartum

In 1922 the "savings and loan fund" was founded in Nartum. 55 years after it was founded, it was decided to merge with the "Spar- und Kreditskasse Heeslingen" to form "Volksbank Heeslingen eG".

Volksbank in Zeven

On December 1, 1926, the first business year of "Gewerbebank Zeven" began. Since then, through the mergers with Sittensen (1988), Heeslingen (1998) and Rhade (2000), it has become today's "Zevener Volksbank eG" under the name "Volksbank Zeven".
